Amazing A+ Customer Service!! Great Reliable Software, Clear Night Vision Cam, Fun Treat Dispenser!
Petcube as a company actually cares a lot about their customer’s satisfaction and definitely deserves kudos! When I had issues with my first unit, Customer Service issued me a new one which fixed the connectivity, treat dispensing and garbled speaker noises. It turned out to be a hardware flaw but this new one works like a charm! When I leave the home, I feel safer knowing that I can watch where my pup is at all times. I love that you can see your dog anytime you want on the app–connectivity is great and there are no hidden fees to use it! It’s easy to navigate, you can snapshot or record video, hear your pup and let the pup hear you. These features can all be toggled on or off to customize your experience, which is very nice! The speaker is clear and you can control the volume on your end and what your dog hears. The zoom feature is digital (not optical) so it’s normal for it to be fuzzy when zooming in–but the picture is very clear and covers a wide range (fisheye lens style) of the room. If you confine your pet to one space, this is perfect. Otherwise, it’s best to get multiple units to cover other rooms. One impressive feature I love is the Night Vision, which is incredibly clear. It flips on in an instant once the light gets dim enough, and you hear it click (the red indicator also turns on). It’s really amazing that it even captures the light from dust flying around the camera in a dark room at night! When you place your treats in the unit, be sure that you’re using the right sized slot provided (small, med, large) and that the treats are able to fit in the revolving grooves at the bottom. Otherwise you may get large treats stuck, or small treats shotgunned out (though your pet will be VERY happy about this, lol!). My dog used to be alarmed by the noise, but after realizing that the noise means treats, he happily rushes up to it which lets me know he’s ok!Love my new Petcube Bites 2 Lite, it’s so much more affordable than the FurboCam and much more versatile and pet-centric than a vanilla security cam!

Bites 2 lite
I recently purchased a Petcube bites 2 lite. I was really excited when I read what this product could do! Night vision cam, 1080p, 2 way audio AND a treat dispenser! I thought wow! This is exactly what I need for when I transition back to the work place after working from home for so long to keep an eye on my puppy. This was product was easy to set up and get connected. However, I can only connect to the product when Iâm at home and on the same wifi networkâ¦if Iâm on the go I constantly receive the âconnectingâ¦â or âgetting videoâ¦â message but the product fails to connect. I decided to contact support and thatâs when I was told that the system requires 2 Mbps Internet connection for upload and download speeds but 4 Mbps is recommended for both. I live in a rural area and my cellular speeds arenât always guaranteed to provide me the minimum speed needed to connect while Iâm out of the home. So basically I have a treat dispenser only when Iâm at the house and I can only see my pet when in the house with him. This makes this purchase useless in my opinion and a waste of money but it works great at home!***After working with the support team at Petcube they were able to push out a device system update and it now works using my mobile data! Iâm upgrading this from 3 stars to 5 stars!*** They even provided me 3 months of their Care Awake plan! Thank you Petcube!

Petcube & Petcube Bites 2 Lite, Some Hacks & Recommendations…….. See Photos~
We have 2 different petcube cameras (product models linked below) and they’ve mostly worked well for us, after a year plus. We do not pay for a monthly subscription and just use them for live streaming and treats. I’m sharing some of our small gripes here, as most of the better qualities have already been shared so well (thank you!)…Unfortunately, the night vision makes it so we can’t see the treat giving one at night. They are on opposite sides of a room and during the day, we can shoot treats and then switch to the other camera, to see if they’ve eaten them or if nothing came out, etc. At night, the night vision makes it so the camera looks like a bright light spot and we can’t see what’s going on there (see pics).I emailed Petcube to see if they might have a hack for this and will update my review if I learn of one. We’ve tried electrical tape over different lights/ sensors but nothing has worked for us yet. Please share if you have any thoughts on this? The bites model has a treat toss and initially our cats were frightened of it but soon they grew to love it. Smile. Even at the lowest setting, it shoots all the way across the room, to where their litter boxes are (small room). I hacked it to make them (mostly) land on the trays underneath. I think an accessory add on available for cat owners would be a good seller or a shorter toss option.Uploading photos of both of the issues above. The Seahawks duct tape was what was quickest available when getting ready for a vacation, haha!Another recommended improvement would be the zoom. If their food dish is at the bottom right of the picture and we need to zoom in to see if it’s empty, we have to zoom at least x7 times, scroll so many times… Was such a hassle and time waster that we moved the food and the cameras around, to make their food dish on the left side of the screen, lol.Lastly, the magnetic disk adhesive eventually didn’t hold anymore, fell off the wall more than once. We ended up using a couple screws above and one centered below (the smaller camera) to make it stay up. A better mounting solution would be good; the treat one hasn’t fallen once and is very secure. It does seem to clog somewhat easily if any bits of dehydrated treats are in the mix. Dried kibbles and crunchy treats do well but are not our cats first choices. Smile.Although some of these features frustrate my slightly OCD tendencies and the app does occasionally act up, I’d say we’re happy with them both overall. Sometimes it takes multiple times opening and closing the app before it connects but usually works within seconds or a few minutes.Recommended. Absolutely love! And so do my cats!
Love this camera and the treat function! I love that I can schedule treats to fling even when I am not home.

Bought this for my fiancé and our loveable 70lbs Standard poodle puppy. I am used to having wireless cameras around and am pretty used to their function, however I wasn’t expecting much from this treat camera. Boy was I wrong! First very wide angle camera without much distortion or fisheye in the middle. The setup was EASY. The app is very user friendly, picture quality is VERY good, and the puppy loves it! The treat launcher is powerful so if you have a small room just be aware. I also like how more then one treat comes out at once, it keeps him distracted for longer and we just use his kibble so not too worried about the extra calories! The speaker on the camera is powerful and clear. We use the app all the time even when we are in the same room as him, just to distract him when he starts to bark. Last thing, it allows multiple people to share the feed if you both want access to the video feed. 10/10 would recommend!

makes going to work a bit easier when I can check in on my fur baby. He loves when I toss him treats when I am at work and I have the treat dispenser set up to send him treats after breakfast, mid-day and right before I get home from work.

The video function, including sharing with family members, is working as expected. The night vision works great too. Connectivity is quite reliable. I had a hard time finding the right treats to fling reliably. Eventually found quite spherical hard treats. The delay between choosing to reward and the fling is not ideal, but it is definitely getting the job done!

I just got the machine and I see a lot of flaws and a lot of good things.Good things:- Size of the treats tank- App is easy to use-Imagine quality is good (day/night)- Powered by USB-CBad things:- Not secure: my two cats smacked the petcube on the floor the moment they sensed that there was food in there. thankfully the machine was not broken but they could have made some damage.- The rectangular shape of the machine makes it easily subject to drop if a cat or dog lean on it just a little bit. It is frustrating if you left home and cant monitor your pets because they pushed the machine.- The treats tank is not secure: My two cats were able to open it without pushing it on the floor (because its tapped now). They still managed to open the top.- The camera wont zoom, move at all so you might have to place it in a weird position to capture the area you want. This can ruined you home staging. The machine is very big for what it does. its not very elegant (less than a thought).- Treats size: It is not made for cat treats, sometime it can shoot 6 treats…. Idk why but the amount of treats is not consistent (min: 2, max:6), I would have liked to have some adjustments so that I can shoot 1 treat at a time.Price: kind on pricy for what it does. it is comparable to other similar product but now that I have one I feel that they are all too pricy.Petcube contacted me after reading this review and provided a top notch service. I recommended the productThanks for reading, I hope it was helpful

Works great as a camera and a treat dispenser. Does not let you listen in or talk to your pet unless you’re on the same wifi network as the camera which is useless for remote check ins. Doesn’t store photos or videos, had to rely on screen shots and recorders for that. The motion detection feature is great and is adjustable. Sound detection goes off if standing air exists in the room and is not adjustable at all. If you want to talk and listen to your pet get an Echo Show and use the drop in feature for a video call. Works like a charm. If you don’t believe me go check out the reviews on the Petcube app at the app store. I returned this device and am actively recommending others not to buy.
