The PetSafe Martingale Collar with Quick Snap Buckle is easy to put on and take off your dog. Martingale collars are safer than prong collars and are more comfortable for your dog to wear. This durable, nylon, martingale collar tightens when your dog pulls and loosens when he stops, so its only tight when it needs to be. Favorite collar
Great collar for our 120lb and 100lb dog. We have had these collars for around 4-5 years. I love the martindale style while still having an easy to use buckle. The dogs are both quite strong and active and the collars have more than proven their strength and durability. The red one has faded over the years, but this dog frequently swims in salt water so the fading is understandable and importantly both collars are still the same in terms of durability. I did buy a second red collar so we have a swim collar and a âcleanâ collar now. We will probably always use this brand of collar and definitely recommend.

Great Value Good Quality
We needed an alternative to the harness that was causing hair loss around the neck and chest. Our first walk with this collar and I was amazed at how much less pulling our Husky did in contrast to the harness that facilitates him pulling, as if he was in the Iditarod. Also, his neck is 19″ and the size large fit just as the sizing chart suggested. The quality is good, the same strong webbing the more expensive boutique brands also use. The plastic buckle is typical and works fine.

Good Collars
These are good to be almost like a choker chain but without being a chain. They look better than a choker chain, unless you’re going for a tough dog look. They help for dogs that like to lead on a leash too far in front of you on walks or runs. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is over time the ends begin to fray and you have to cut the excess and burn it with a lighter to prevent further frays.

I love this
I love this slip collar for my dog. I usually have to use a prong collar with her and this collar is just as good as a prong collar but a lot safer if you feel iffy about putting a spikey collar on your dog. This would be a great collar to teach your dog to walk well on a leash and prevent pulling.

RUNS LARGE. Adjusts properly. Plastic buckle.
I wish the buckle was metal and I worry about the longevity of plastic. But otherwise it is very nice. The adjustment buckle so far doesn’t slip during use. The tightening feature works as expected. It’s bright red. It’s not heavy weight like another one I have, but a good solid medium-high weight. I have the size Large set to as small as it goes on a 60lb catahoula leopard (hair is very minimal in bulk) and I’d say it’s almost a hair big. If I were to order again, I’d order a medium.I’m very disappointed it doesn’t come in hunters orange. This is a paid-FULL-PRICE review by someone who found this item all on their own. I hate fake reviews.

It’s our go to collar!
Will only use a martingale collar for safety reasons. The are sturdy and last well. The only reasons I have had to replace them is because she will roll in the grass over something stinky and it gets on the collar. I always have one or two spares in my house for this reason. Stella loves her collar and gets upset when it’s taken off.

Seems good quality bad sizing
I have two small dogs with roughly 10 inch necks. I bought the size small in blue annd in black according to the chart. The collars look well-made and they feel nice in my hands, but I have to adjust them to the smallest size possible and I can still be able to slip it over my dogs heads without using the buckle. So while they are nice the sizing is simply not accurate. I will have to purchase a different collar.

I am super happy after purchasing this one. The other brands in the name of martingale collar offered heavy weight with chains and I didnât like it. If you are looking for a light weight, sturdy one and in every sense a true martingale collar which doesnât hurt your dog, please go for this. Max, my german shepherd loved it.

Iâd never seen this style of harness until I started shopping for a harness for our new pup. Settled on a back clip harness, this seemed like an interesting and sensible development. Well, it is.The clip at the chest gives you control over the centre mass of your dog. It takes very little correction since the pull works to pull your dog to the side and back toward you, putting them off balance if theyâre trying to pull forward. The Martingale loop reinforces the correction with increased pressure on the dogâs chest. Contrast this to a back clip harness. If your dog pulls a back clip may not be a solution. Think about it; sled dogs are clipped on their backs, right?Note that it took me a couple of weeks of adjusting and tweaking to get the harness to sit right. I wish Iâd gone to the PetSafe web site for instructions first off- wouldâve save me a lot of time. Still took some fiddling, but once set up correctly it fits and works amazingly well. Donât be satisfied with an âOKâ fit, keep playing with it in small increments until it *really* matches PetSafeâs description of how it should fit.

Good collar fits my 7 month labrador perfectly. I use this with long line for training, correction to the dog and for walks only.

Sturdy, good D rings. But color choice should have been there for sizes. Some colors are exhorbitantly costly.
