    Last a long time
We have had these collars for 2 years now. Still work! But definitely can tell they have been used 😅These are pretty durable and last a long time. Do feel like it’s not as strong for our pit though. He just ignores me half the time lol but sometimes it catches him off guard. He’s 90lbs. All in all though they are super helpful. I’m considering ordering again!

Short life – Only worked for 7 months!
6/7/18 Update: I changed my review back to five stars! The manufacturer emailed me about the problem and immediately sent a replacement collar for the one that was not working, along with some valuable advice. The collar is back on my dog and training is continuing. The training device is excellent. I use the vibrate button as a signal during training and sometimes the beep, and have only used the “shock” button a couple of times in emergency situations (after, of course, training my dog on what the signal means. There are lots of videos online on how to train with an e-collar and I highly recommend watching a couple before starting training). I have a young smart working dog who is always looking for a job to do. He has so much energy and drive I found it difficult to impossible to get his attention and focus before I started using the collar. The PetSpy training collar allows me to get Freddy’s attention immediately and remotely. At that point, training is easy. But to be honest, I haven’t done much training yet – I have mostly focused on getting his attention and getting control and a reliable recall. My dog has gone from totally out of control to a still energetic but fully under control dog 98% of the time. Friends and family have all remarked about the huge change in Freddy since I started using the collar. I have close to a 100% head snap when I call and a rapid recall from anywhere on my 2 acre property – even without using the remote and without being in sight. He has stopped digging up the property hunting for gophers and stops with a “no” on the few times he starts. What is interesting is Freddy is much calmer in general now that he knows what I want him to do – the consistent and quick signal from the e-collar allows him to relax because he knows I’m in charge, he doesn’t have to be. Now I’m going to start formal and advanced training and it will be easy. Thanks to the training collar.Hold off on my review below. I am asking the manufacturer for a replacement under their 1 year warranty. I’ll let you know the upshot. Thanks, SueThe collar worked great at first, although it didn’t seem to have the range reported, However, it stopped working 7 months after I purchased it. All the lights seem to be working, showing the unit was charged and ready but it no longer produced a “tone” and neither the vibrate or shock function worked at all. At this point it is worthless. I am going to try to contact the manufacturer to see if they will fix it since it wasn’t sold as a disposable item. I will let you know if they make good on their product. Very disappointed because it was a wonderful training tool while it worked!

    Impressed for first buyers!
I have a 9 month old Doberman who is very much acts alpha male and this has been so good. Even though I just got it today, I charged it for the required/recommended of the 4 hrs and it was good to go. I love the feature of not just the shock but the tone and the vibrate. If was ease to put together and use. If has worked good, I didn’t have to use the shock. The vibrate my Doberman does not like at all. I am training him more and this has worked gift. The adjustable strap is great! Will continue to monitor and see how it goes.

Best thing i ever bought for my dog.
Whats up – id like to start off by saying i have 3 dogs, 1 year old belgian malinois who is (problem dog #1 name Cyrus) I have a 10 week old female belgian malinois name Kyra. I have a female lab in my backyard name nila. Cyrus has been getting out my house by opening the front door because someone didn’t close it all the way. It would take me 1-3 hours before getting him back into the house. I had to trick him with food, i had to throw balls in the neighbor yard to trap him in their fence. All these unecessary things that dont work anymore because he isnt a stupid dog he learned it was a trick. I used to say to people control your dog. Like if you would just give it attention and train your dog those things wouldnt happen. I was an A hole with my opinion. Now it is karma getting me. On a leash my dog is one of the best dogs ive had. He is super smart. So smart i had to buy this collar for him. He knew i had 0 control when he ran out my front door. He was in full control. So my 1st day getting this device i said i got to try it out. I put him on a leash and went to my side walk and He would pull alot when my son was around. So i started out using the tone and saying stop. I also count alot from1-3. He knows when i get to 3 he better behave. So i use the beep and than count, not sure if that is how other people do it. But that is what works for me and my dog so i dont care what someone else does or need tips. He did not respond to the beep or vibrate, I went up to level 9. Didnt bother him. So i did the shock on level 9 by accident. I meant to go back to level 1 to see his response. He whelped 1 time and was confused on level 9. Well after a few more walks and few more shocks he started to understand i have control. Before i continue, this is my belgian malinois 1 year old cyrus. The best shock level i use is 5-7. Anything lower he doesn’t react to. Anything higher might hurt him to much i dont know. I didnt shock myself to find out how it feels and dont plan on it. So now after about week. He started to respond to the vibrate better. He knows he better listen or the shock is coming. When i use the tone and than count 1 2 he knows to come to me or get back in his kennel. He knows if i get to 3 the vibrate is coming. The only time i plan to use shock is if he is aggressive or running wild out front because he got out and doesnt want to listen. Outside of that i dont have a purpose for using the shock. Past few weeks he almost got hit 7-8 times because he wouldnt listen. He barked at 4-5 neighbors and only didnt attack them because i didnt get close enough to give him the confidence to attack them. Most dogs are scared and wont attack unless the owner is present. So this shock collar will also prevent situations like that. My dog wears it all day. I take it off when i goto sleep. It is a huge commitment between an owner and dog. If you expect to leave this collar on your dog 24/7 You did not read reviews on how long the battery last or the hand book that comes with it. There is a reason you recharge it. My dog has worn it for 3 days now and i have not had to recharge it yet. But again he only wears it when im awake. When its bedtime he does not wear it. I plan on buying this again for my female puppy Kyra when she is about year old. This has saved my dogs life from getting run over. An it has saved mine from going to jail from my dog attacking someone. It has also helped me get my pet back in the house within minutes. I read the negative reviews on this, but there is negative reviews on everything now days. All in all i love this and everyone has a right to have an opinion. Everyone situation and experience is different.

  5. The biggest piece of Garbage, the metal doesn’t except the screw ins they give you no matter how many hours you try it won’t work, save yourself the aggravation and just don’t purchase this .

    Excellent 💯%
Finally something that works for my uncontrollable dog finally, he’s small Minpin a little bigger than regular man pins, but he is a hot mess. I couldn’t even begin to explain how much of a hot mess he is, but with this it works I’ve tried many products. Nothing works like this one all other products die. They don’t work as well. This one you have major control and works really well. Had it for over a year and still kick and still going 10 out of 10 I recommend.

Would give 5 stars, unfortunately after a couple of uses I cannot use the remote without having to remain on charger. As soon as it is removed, you cannot use. Lucky for the amazing distance the collar can be reached. Tricky on a farm when you need more freedom and wireless use for remote. Other than that fast delivery and detailed instructions.

I was looking for a good 2-collar system with a medium price range and this fit the bill.Firstly, the packaging instilled confidence- very well packed and I felt even as I opened the box that I was getting my moneys worth. The Li-Po batteries in the collars and transmitter have amazing staying power and last through at LEAST 4-5 hour-long walks- the transmitter battery indicator still read “full” after said walks. The range of the unit is vast and my dogs respond to the stimuli well beyond 200m through thick trees/brush- in the open, the range is much greater. The collars are very large (you trim them to length-if desired) and would fit the largest of dogs. Two sets of metal “electrodes” are included (short and long) and I found the long ones worked best on my Basset hounds due to their wrinkly skin. My dogs love their collars and get excited when I get them out.Offering 3 modes of stimuli (beep, vibrate, shock) my dogs learned immediately what “comes next” and it only took a couple shocks…90% of the time they now respond to the beep, the vibrate option is rarely even needed. Walks are now far more enjoyable for them AND me… they have more freedom and get more exercise off leash. I can’t describe how wonderful these have been for us.CONS: there are a couple, but not enough to lose a “star”. I wish the vibrate and shock intensity was adjustable separately. When you set the vibrate intensity (which just alters the duration- not strength) it also changes the shock strength. The belt clip on the transmitter could be stronger. It was hanging from my neck on the lanyard when it caught on my pocket when I bent down- the plastic clip bent and remained so making it effectively useless…a stronger clip would be welcomed. Lastly, a charging adapter with a 3rd plug would be handy (the charger has two connectors) so I could charge both collars AND the transmitter at once. This is my first e-collar but I will never own another dog without one. One day, if this unit is lost or fails, I will buy from PetSpy again. Quality, durability, and function. Amazing.

This training device E collar has given me control of my puppy that is now 8mth old Rottweiler Lab mix. Without this E collar I would of been looking for a new home for him. He isn’t pulling on the leash anymore, stops him from jumping onto people. I live in a rural location. He started chasing a deer this morning. With the correction of the E collar. He stopped in his tracks, turned around & came right back to me. This would of never happened without this E collar. This E collar lets me have total control over any situation. It teaches discipline & loyalty. He has been swimming with it on & it’s water proof forsure. He loves the water & has swam many times with it on. I have been using this collar for 4 mths now. He wears it from morning until evening. I just ordered another one as I wouldn’t ever want to be without it. It saved me from finding a new home for him. He is now an absolute pleasure to be with & so well-behaved. He’s a completely different dog & I’m not all stressed out. I would 100% recommend this as it’s money well spent. Excellent device.

I have a 60lb 7 year old Siberian Husky with a history of running, and a 130lb 1 year old Malamute who is easily distracted on our farm, and we have been using these collars for about 1 week.First the good..- One of my dogs has gone swimming several times, and it still works the same as it did when it came out of the box- The beep and vibration is loud/strong- The quality and versatility of the collar is great- The remote is easy to use- The price is goodNow for the bad..- The shock is garbage and rarely works, even with the long points and a collar so tight I can barely get my finger under it so I KNOW it’s making good skin contact. Only once have we gotten the typical ‘yelp’ reaction out of several attempts to use the shocker to correct behavior at a distance of 10 – 100 feet.. every other time the dogs have been completely oblivious, which tells me it isn’t working as they’re typically very responsive, even to the vibrate.- The distance is terrible and if you don’t have direct line of sight to the dog, it’s even worse- The charger can only charge two things at once, so currently we put the collars on the charger every night and then charge the remove during the day when we’re at work- The collars die very quick. We have to charge them every night- I paid extra for faster shipping, and it still took quite a while.I’m disappointed in the shocker, but for my dogs I rarely need it – it just sucks that I can’t rely on it if I ever truly did need it, and I worry they’ll learn that the vibration is “as bad as it gets”.. if it was more reliable, this would be a 5+ star review.~~~ SEPTEMBER ’19, dropped to 1 star. Collars now only work at about 10ft from the dog. Very disappointed.
