Strong spoons, very convenient to use.
I received 2 feeder spoons of slightly different shapes. They seem strong – I cannot deform them, which is important. If I insert either of them into my conure’s cage to add food to her food bowl or to feed her any treat, the first thing she does is bite on it. Conures have strong beaks, so I am hoping these continue to stand up to her nibbles.I used the larger one to add food to her food bowl. She has toys and branches in her cage and sometimes, it is a bit of a contortion to replenish her bowl. This makes it so easy. The spoon is large enough for me to fill it half way and replenish the bowl at one go. I add small quantities each time so that she always has fresh food. She has nibbled on it – she loves to nibble, and if possible, to break any metal attachment. Until now, she has not managed to deform this spoon.i used the smaller spoon to tempt her with okra seeds. Again, she did nibble on the spoon but was soon tempted away with the okra. These spoons are strong and large enough to make feeding my conure very easy and convenient. They are easy to clean and store. I am really pleased with these spoons.

These bird feeder scoops have been an excellent find for me. They came in handy during a recent work trip in which I had a pet sitter coming to take care of the birds in my absence. A brilliant solution for anyone who isnât comfortable handling parrots outside of the cage. Itâs a breeze to add food to their bowls without the risk of getting nipped or accidentally letting one of them slip out of the cage. The stainless steel material is safe for parrots and also quite durable, which I appreciate. However, Iâve noticed that even the larger scoop struggles to accommodate some of the larger, chunkier pellets, but thatâs a minor issue that can be rectified by simply adding fewer at once. Overall, these scoops have provided me peace of mind, knowing that my birds can be fed without risking safety for either party (pet sitter or parrot).
