Our live oak leaf litter is collected from 100% pesticide and herbicide free environments. Isopods should always have a constant source of leaf litter inside their enclosure. This allows them to consume the organic material over time, while offering shelter. Isopods will not only consume the leafs, but often prefer to hide underneath them. It looks great in a naturalistic vivarium as well. Our live oak leaves break down over time and will eventually be consumed by any isopods in the enclosure. Leaf litter plays a very important role in a naturalistic vivarium as well as any isopod enclosure. The leaf litter provides shelter, visual barriers, and hiding places for the inhabitants. Each live oak leaf also puts nutrients back into the environment, providing plants and microfauna with food needed to thrive! One gallon of leaf litter will cover approximately 1.5 square feet to the desired depth of 1 inch.

The Oak leaves by my house are huge and not nearly as thick and sturdy as these bad boys. Love that you can crumble them up and toss them into your enclosure without re-sterilizing.

These are pretty leaves! You get a good amount for your money and my isopods seem to enjoy it. I hand inspected handfuls and I saw no signs of possible nasties, you can use this in a bioactive enclosure with no worries. These leaves arenât really âcrumbleableâ like some other ones, but theyâre smaller overall so thatâs not really needed

Perfect for cornsnakes
Ordered this as a first timer using leaf litter for our cornsnake and I’m happy with it, I wish there was an option for a larger bag though. The leaves smell nice (real, not chemically processed) and take a long time to break down. Our snake loves using them to hide in and move through. Will be buying again.

Good consistent leaf litter
I’ve ordered this product twice and received a good consistent product. These leaves are a nice small size to go with some of the larger leaf litter that I have. The smaller size allows me to give the bottom of my enclosure a nice full look without having giant leaves everywhere.

I purchased this for my crested gecko enclosure, tho I donât have fully bio active, I noticed my gecko didnât care for walking on the substrate, so I got these hoping it would help. I was really happy with the quality of leaves! Bonus that they smell real pretty and fresh. I like opening the enclosure and it smells like nature not plastic. Iâve also decided to use them for my cricket enclosure and they seem to enjoy it as well! The bag size was perfect for what I needed! Iâll definitely be buying these for the foreseeable future!
