Good boots – they stay cold and are fairly hardy
Got these boots to help my horse after she started stalking up and to help with minor inflammation. I use them almost everyday after I ride. The boots stay cold for a long time, even when left out; if you don’t have access to a freezer at your barn I’d definitely recommend these. They do a nice job of icing the legs; once my horse had a little frost on her feathering after wearing these. If your horse has thin hair/sensitive skin you’ll want to keep a close eye on them when they’re wearing these boots in case of ice burns; the fabric does a nice job of protecting the leg but it still gets very cold. The velcro holds well. One day my horse accidentally stepped on them and I was worried that the gel packets would burst – but they were just fine. So if you have a horse that can be rough on boots this is a decent product to try. Also, they come with a drawstring bag and it’s very handy for storage and traveling.I only have three minor complaints: first, they’re a little bit cumbersome to get on (I usually secure the bottom strap first, then do the top two, then redo the bottom one so it’s tighter) however this could be a problem you’d face with any ice boot. Second, despite the hardiness of the boot itself, one of the velcro straps on mine is tearing a bit where it’s sewn into the boot. It still works for now, but I’ll likely need to sew it back together at some point. Third, it can be difficult to get an even icing on the leg because of the way the gel packets are arranged in the boot. For my purposes this doesn’t seem to affect anything much, but if you had a specific area on the leg that you were targeting it might be an issue. I’ve found that hosing the leg very briefly (essentially just getting it wet) and then putting the ice boots on seems to help get the leg colder faster and more evenly.Overall, I would buy them again. They’re a bit pricey but I suspect that they’ll last for awhile; even with daily use they’ve held up decently. So if you need a hardy, basic ice boot that you’ll get some use out of, I’d definitely recommend these boots.

Awesome product!
I have been using these boots on my horse daily for a couple of months now, and this is an awesome product! Nicely packaged, same quality material as the Professional Choice Sport Boots. Comes with a mesh bag that you can store the wraps in the freezer in. The design is extremely easy to use, the Velcro a good length that doesn’t get tangled when trying to apply. They go on like a medicine boot. The boot cools well, and the gel material stays soft. Excellent product!

Great boot but thought they would have arrived sooner
Great boot quality and as described and easy to freeze and use. I was a bit disappointed with the wait time to get them. Needed ice for horses leg after the injury asap so ordered right away. Took boots 10 days to get to me so delayed the healing process starting. Just use a topical gel while waiting. Still pleased w product tho as I used them first thing this morning after getting them yesterday.

SECOND SET — EXCELLENT RESULTS
Easy to use, instant relief, durable product. I store mine in deep freeze. Horse tolerates them nicely. Bought the first set about 4 years ago and they have been well-used to the point that one of the gel cells is leaking a little bit. Bought the second set as a back up in case of urgent need like we had before when her suspensory ligament was inflamed. BONUS? I also used these on my own knee when I snapped my ACL last year. The large coverage area, flexible design & velcro distribution makes these more useful than most human grade gel packs.

Great ice therapy boot for my horse.
These are great for my horse after we ride. I keep these in a cooler with ice blocks all day in my car while Iâm at work and use these in the evening after I ride they are still frozen. Highly recommend for ice therapy.

GREAT ICE BOOTS!
I love these ice boots for large, draft, and even standard size horses. Like the Professional’s Choice SMB’s, these ice boots are completely adherent to the velcro, so completely adjustable to any size (so long as the horse is over 15.2, I’d say. I really like that they are so tall, because they cover from hock to the top of coronet to really ice not only the tendons but the pasterns and high tendon as well! Great product! Just ordered another pair!

Best!
Great. I love these ice boots better than the other Prof. Choice ice boots I’ve seen and tried. They have a little give in the material and are easier to get on snigger right off the bat. I consistently struggle keeping ice boots up because my horse likes to paw with them on and he has shivers behind so gets a bit fussy and will lift his hind legs up. They still slip down. I try to retighten them after the gel packs thaw up a bit. But they leave his legs quite cold. So far I am very happy with this purchase. I only wish I had gotten two pairs of the larger boots, instead of the regular ones for the fronts and large for back. The regular ones run from knee-accessory bone-down to his fetlock, not cupping (17.1h warmblood). Just wish they were long enough to cover down to his hoof. The large ones are perfect for the hind, they run base of hock down to almost hoof.
