Customers say
Customers appreciate the durable and protective bell boots. They find the fabric covering to be very protective, and the boots are easy to put on. The boots don’t cause rubbing or sores, even for sensitive skin. However, opinions differ on the size and durability of the velcro straps.

Durable
These boots provide excellent coverage of the hoof and heel.
I have been using these boots for several years for turnout. My gelding gets sores on his front leg elbows from laying down and getting up due to hoof heel brushing against the elbow.
I’ve got several pair which I rotate and wash every day or two depending upon conditions.
The boots seem to be constructed of neopreme with a fabric covering, which is durable and takes a beating, and velcro straps. My area of concern with the boots is with the velcro straps which wear out. Over time, the straps wear out and roll up on themselves and just flat out give up. Due to the construction, it is not easy to sew on other velcro straps.
So, I resort to buying straps of velcro and using this to keep the boots on.
Before Covid hit, I called the company and the rep told me that these boots are not gauranted for full time turn out. I’m using them for this and check on my horse daily. I’ve only had a few problems over the years with them which falls into two groups: The velcro dtraps wearing out, and my horse losing one occassionally in the pasture.
These boots can be put on too tight and will cause rubbbing. Mud will build up on the underside of the boots and can cause some rubbing.
Overall, if you need them, yes they are worth the price, however, you need to pay attention to the horse that is wearing them.

The only bell boot for my horses
These are my absolute FAVORITE bell boots. They are versatile in terms of size. They are durable, and most importantly they do NOT cause rubs or sores like the rubber boots do.
I made the mistake of purchasing some cheap rubber bell boots for my horses as my Quick Wraps had given up the ghost after many years of good service.
While working my best horse we noticed he was tripping a lot. The vet was coming later that day for something else. When he examined the horse he found horrible rub marks on the back of his fetlock. This was caused by the plastic material rubbing the sand against his skin.
I will only ever use these kind of bell boots again.

Great boots
Love these boots I think they run a bit large but awesome for leaving them on in the pasture
The beepster –
they last a bit longer
Bell boots are not known for staying useful – velcro breaks, etc. These are better than most

Great fit no rubbing
These boots work great for my 4 year old OTTB to protect him from overreaching. I put him on when I ride him. They come on and off easily with the velcro, and they don’t turn or rub. I have bought several pairs of these.

Wonât stay on
I have used Professional Choice bell boots for years and never had an issue with them. These boots however have a cheaper quality velcro on them. They will not stay on. My horse goes on a hot walker and every time he loses a bell boot. I have older PC bell boots that are still going strong.

Fantastic
Love. I have a 17.1h warm blood. Yes the larges, they would be tight if I put them on so all of the Velcro on the boots over lapped, but I don’t. The Velcro close to the closure and the straps are all I use so the boots sit a little looser around his pasterns. He has ultra sensitive skin and can be turned out in these for hours and not get dermatitis or rubs, or we school FEI Dressage in them. Never had an issue with these bell boots and they’re all I use now.
