Love the convenience and pricing but packages have been arriving looking like someone has played soccer with them. Am cancelling as several cans had to be discarded from last delivery due to contents opening and spilling inside of box..

WE HAVE A NEW DOG FOOD!
We adopted a 3 year old pit bull roughly 6 months ago. We had been feeding her Science Diet canned and dry because we could get it locally from our vet. Due to our location, there is only one grocery store and the variety of dog foods is limited. We had to make a trip to the “city” and I found I had not packed enough canned food for our baby to last for the duration. So I ran down to the HEB and just grabbed the Purina One Beef and Brown Rice because, frankly, I was hungry and this sounded good to me! (No, I didn’t eat any of it.) When I opened the can, it smelled so good and our dog’s nose was sniffing so hard, it was almost trembling. I trained her to wait for her food until she gets the signal that it’s OK to eat, so I gave her the signal as soon as I put her food bowl down because it seemed cruel to make her wait too long for something that she obviously thought smelled so good. She had not been very excited about the Science Diet canned. I was impressed with the ingredient list, so we decided to switch her canned food to the Purina One Beef and Brown Rice. She still gets excited when she sees the can and we mix it with her dry food twice a day. We will probably try a small bag of the dry formula when we run out of the Science Diet dry. But I want to read the ingredient list FIRST this time before I buy. I like the fact that Purina is made in USA and I’m sure it isn’t made from the best cut of the cow. I am not that naïve. But the aroma and appearance of this food looks like it is a good quality food. The signal that it’s OK to eat has been extended since that first feeding. But it’s on Subscribe and Save now so we know that she will not run out and we’ll feed it until she gets tired of it. But I don’t think that will happen any time soon.

My girls absolutely love this food. My husband was constantly looking for a different food (Chopped House Grilled) by Purina but with the Pandemic it became a shortage item. So I decided to still hang in there w Purina a food my family has always used. So I grabbed a few cans on the shelf first for them to try. The first day I went to feed them I wasnât sure how my girls would like a ground food. I put the bowls down turned around to throw the can away, when I turned around again it was gone. I thought this was a lot better liked then the Choppedhouse. I have a picky girl that just wonât eat anything. She would eat some of the Choppedhouse and leave the rest for later or she just wouldnât eat at all. So of course my girls donât think they are eating dog food, I tell them everyday Mama cooked your food. Thank you Purina, Iâm disabled so itâs nice that I can order my girls food online here and not have to reach at the top or bend at the bottom shelf. I do have a problem with this order did not come to me. It said it was delivered by handing the food to someone else. I have a large metal sign on the front of my fence that asks the driver to drop packages in the box I have made for this. My fence is always locked. So apparently we have some drivers that need to go back to school & learn how to read. Thank you!

The product is usually ok.
I have been using this food for a while and just in the last 4 weeks began ordering from here. This last shipment (3 cases) was terribly packaged and several cans were dented. The food seemed ok but it has been inconsistent in texture and color. One dog experienced diarrhea for a couple of days and today theyâre both refusing to eat it. Todays texture and color is a little off but no rotten smell. I would like to know how it is stored and definitely recommend better training for packaging and handling. I hope itâs just a fluke because this is the most affordable way to get this food.
