Customers say
Customers find the siphon tube works well, particularly for 10-gallon tanks, and appreciate its value for money. The cleaning ability is positive, effectively removing leftover food, and customers find it easy to use with clear instructions. The size receives mixed feedback – while it’s perfect for small to midsize tanks, some customers note it needs to be 12+ inches long. The water flow and suction power also get mixed reviews, with customers noting the water flows slow enough to be careful but the suction isn’t powerful enough. The build quality is positive, with customers saying it will last forever.

Simple to use good quality material
Simple, made with quality material. A no nonsense way to keep a small aquarium (mine is a 10 gallon)clean. Did not stress my guppies. Works like a charm. Never left a review but this simple tool deserves it.I cant imagine needing anything else to keep my tank clean other than Larry the snail.

Does the job!
Great product for the hobbyist. It’s easy to use, manageable, and does the job cleaning. It’s made of durable and flexible materials. Perfect for a small to midsize tank.

It works as it should.
Itâs a siphon. The quality of the materials is sturdy and the hose is very supple. Iâve had another one close to ten years. It still functions perfectly. Itâs a simple design really. They all do the same thing in the end.

Works
Might take a bit to get the hang of it, but it’s simple and works. Overall, satisfied with the quality for price.

Perfect for small tanks
I have a 10 gallon shrimp tank, I love the flexible tube, it makes it easy to control the suction flow, making it easy to clean gravel and to avoid accidentally sucking up shrimp. The long tube is a huge plus, I donât have to worry about my tube missing my bucket ever again!Starting the siphon itself is as easy as any other siphon, I personally prefer the manual hand pumping method.Itâs extremely high quality for being only a few dollars! You wonât regret buying it!

Meh
It’s hard to not speak bad about this product. Because it does do everything it intends to performs a little underwhelming. I would say, but it’s a manual tool that uses gravity to operate. So that’s fine and dandy, and for a couple of bucks, if you have a maybe a 10 gallon. Honestly, might be pushing it for my 5 gallon. It works all right. It does do the job that it is supposed to do, but it’s meh. I mean it’s alright..

Most high quality of all siphons.
Ok. Right off the bat I bought two of these. I have many many siphons. From now these to the aqueon minis, to hyger water changing system that hooks up to the faucet (python clone) to using various ID canister filter tubing, airline tubing, co2 tubing. I use many and have used many means to clean and change water. Now I donât run âfish tanksâ. Iâm an aquascaper who strictly uses high end rimless aquariums and canister filters. Plants and hardscape are the focus of my hobby. So I may or may not have fish at any given time in a scape. And that might be a small school of neons or rasboras or a Betta. Mostly Iâm just plants, hardscape, and my never ending colony of Bloody Mary shrimp. So my take maybe a little different than most customers of this product. That caveat out of the way; I run aqua soil in nearly every tank with the very rare exception of an epiphyte only scape where I choose a thin layer of sand as a base, but thatâs rare. You donât vacuum aqua soil. Especially when delicate carpets are growing. That being said you still need to remove detritus from the soil without disturbing plants and roots. Basically carefully blast the soil with a baster or pipette while siphoning the kicked up detritus. I searched so hard to find the right diameter and softness of tubing to be able to do this without draining all my water before cleaning the soil. Most vacuums are too big for this. I mostly run nanos. My biggest scale is 20 gallons. Iâm space limited currently. I run 20 down to as small as 2 gallons. Airline is too small to do this effectively. Others are too big. Even when controlling the flow by pinching the tubing it was very difficult. Thatâs where this python comes in. It is the most high quality tubing in all the siphons I purchased. It happens to be a great size for smaller tank with the perfect ID tubing for when Iâm trying to clean aqua soil as I described above. Now for regular good old water changes itâs a little slow for my bigger tanks but I donât mind bc I like to clean very thoroughly. Very rarely do I just do a water change.TLDR; itâs great quality. Itâs small. Smaller than aqueon nano. The tubing is of the very highest quality as is the vacuum. It can be a little slow draining as the ID of the tubing is pretty small (can be a good or bad thing depending) for $6 itâs great and itâs a great tool added to my many. Very happy I bought two.

Horrible product
Not aure why there are any positive reviews. This product is not user friendly at all. Having to submerge the entire product in the tank to create the suction makes a mess. There is virtually no flow and and tubing is too small to be effective. I spent at least 30 minutes siphoning water in a 6 gallon tank. Definitely not worth a penny

For extremely small tanks only like 20 gallons or less or a fish bowl.Nothing great interms of efficiency and usage just average, not worth the cost.Buy bigger size if tank is about 55 gallons.

Really good siphon hoses pipe is lovely and flexible and long. This small size is perfect for a nano tank.

I loved my large python so much that I decided to try this one out for my smaller planted aquarium and boy am I glad that I did! The ad is size deceiving though, it is smaller than it looks but man is it ever good! Gets into the corners and has great suction and easy control. Itâs a little pricey but it was absolutely worth it. Definitely a must for aquarium keepers!
