It’s a light!
Purchased this light for our ball python’s “Apollo” enclosure. He lives next to our pet rat “Rocky.” Our living room could become a sequel to the Rocky movies.Our problem was that we couldn’t find a light to mount to the inside of an enclosure that our snake couldn’t wrap around and pull off. I had to modify this light by drilling 4 small holes through the sides of the light allowing it to be surface mounted with screws.The light control box is about 2 inches by 2 inches and hard wired to the light, had to get creative and snaked the wire out of the back vent (I’ll attach the wire to the inside of the box as well).There are 3 light sequences, White, Blue and White n Blue. The controller is a touch controller, no buttons. Tap it once to turn on the light then touch is a second time but keep your finger on the box will dim or brighten the light. Tap it again to change the function.Overall it was a decent purchase.

Nice light but I may have been short changed.
Love the ease of use, the brightness, the thinness of the light and the day/night modes . But the pictures of the product here on Amazon showed the kit was supposed to include 2 metal brackets that attach to each side to allow for fit adjustment. The light I received did not include these brackets with it. Not sure what happened. The instructions in the kit have a list of package contents, and the brackets are not listed, so maybe it does not come with them, so why Amazon pictures this light with brackets is either a mistake or a deception.

Good lighting
I was hesitant to purchase this light as I wasnât sure it wouldnât benefit my red ear slider turtle in a 55 long gallon tank, but it worked out great. It gives Enough light in the tank and I am able to change the lighting whenever I want to. Very satisfied with purchase.

Excellent light for Crested Geckos
This is an excellent light fixture for any 18 x 18 x ____ terrarium. It provides a substantial amount of light for plant growth and it helps replicate a day and night cycle with no heat output. It’s low profile makes it very aesthetically pleasing too. Pair this with a Zilla timer extension cord and you’re set.

GETS LESS BRIGHT OVER TIME
UPDATE. Originally gave 5 stars. A month and 2 weeks later. This light lost its brightness out of nowhere. No damage done to it, it wasnât dropped. But now the bright white setting and the dim blue/white setting are exactly the same. Very disappointed, this was so expensive to only last a month or 2. Still is a good dim light and blue lightJust got this and a humidifier for my hermit crabs. I love how thin this thing is, it weighs nothing and works amazingly. I love that it has a tap button to switch from bright, blue light and an in between stage thatâs a little dimmer. I donât think this light comes with a timer setting, or at least itâs not provided in the directions. $50 was a little expensive for this, but all the others at the pet store were bulkier and around the same price anyway. The light works wonders for my hermies, I can fully see into their enclosure and they appreciate a more structured day/night light schedule. I was a little worried about resting this on top of my screen lid because of my humidifier, it says the light canât get wet. Iâve had no problems and used both for over a week. The lights stays warm enough so that no water collects on it even with my humidifier on the highest setting. This light is not enough to emit heat, but I knew that when I bought it. Very impressed. Will be getting more for some of my other creatures!
