Works great
Perfect for my bearded dragon set up! I love that I can adjust the heat. It would be nice if the dial for changing temp was numbered so I know but overall I’m happy with it.

Caught on Fire
The wheel to dim the light caught on fire today using 100W bulb. Went downstairs because of fire smell and it was open fire that could have had extreme consequences to my home and animals. Do not recommend.

Honest Review
I have tried multiple brands/styles of light fixtures, but love this one for several reasons. I love that it’s easy to hang rather than just sits on the top of the cage. I like that it’s dimmable. I can easily change the settings for the temperature with a turn of the dial. I do wish I could go even lower since I use this lamp with my hedgehog. I end up keeping it on the lowest setting so it’s not too hot for my hedgehog. Great lamp.

Stopped working after a week
Stopped working after a week of use and of course I already threw the box away so I canât return it. It was a great concept and It worked well while it was working. But it should last more than a week ðUpdate: seller reached out and offered to send one the would arrive a lot sooner but wasnât the one I ordered or the type I needed and then offered to send me the one I ordered once itâs back in stock! They were super nice about it and willing to help.

Caution!
The light was working fine for 10 days, but then we were sitting down to dinner and I thought the food I cooked smelled bad, like maybe I had accidentally cooked some plastic in there. Well I stood up and looked toward our beardies tank and there were flames coming out of the dimmer switch. It has been on all day with no issue. Thank God we were home and were able to get the fire out before something awful happened. I reached out to the company via email, but they havenât responded in over 2 weeks, so I want to make sure people are aware and keeping an eye on their lights.

Lamp cone remained cool to the touch (77-100° F), though the closer to the neck/base the warmer it got (192° F at its hottest point).I do not have any 100w IR or incandescent bulbs to test at the moment, but given the heat from just a 75w IR, I would use/place this with extreme caution/supervision where children or loose animals can get to it when using +65w IR or incandescent bulbs.Second test was with a range of dimmable LED bulbs (B0CLSYQ783 13=75w; B0CLWHZ7BV 11=75w; B0CM432ZMY 8.5=75w; 6=40w; 9=60w; 12=75W; 15=100W). Full range control/response on the dimmer, and the bell focused the light very nicely, with enough depth to protect from peripheral light splash for brighter bulbs. Operating temps from bell tip to power cord are all comfortable, with 93° F with the warmest (13w) LED filament bulb, though the bulb itself was 120° F inside the bell.Last test was with some PAR30 bulbs to test dimming before I climbed a ladder, which it did well with.All in all, this is a good little light, and has good potential for uses beyond a terrarium.

almost burned my house down.
I was so excited when I saw this, as I had been wanting to get a dimmer for my two beardies. The dimmer wasnât working most of the time, and then today while I was asleep the dimmer controller completely melted and almost caught on fire. The one in my other beardieâs tank was fine but I would really rather not risk their lives again. Please do not buy this if you care about your pets life, I will never be more terrified than I was when I woke up to sparks flying out of that thing.
