Largest size is quite big!
I bought the largest size based off reviews and wow is it big! Probably bigger than we needed for a baby dragon, but he didnât have a problem getting in or out. The ledge itself is an inch and the lip is perfect for worms not getting out. Iâve had the bowl for about 4 months now so beardie is much bigger and the larger bowl size is nice, but honestly itâs not necessary. I probably would have ordered 1 size smaller in hindsight but I have not had any issues with it, and not a single worm has escaped. The size is not any fault to the seller (I didnât read the measurements before I ordered so I just kept it and still use it daily). Iâll try to update this later with a photo, but imagine the size of a salad plate with sides. The bowl still works great and it fits in his cage fine, but we have a 50gal tank so he has a lot of room. Initially we had it in his 20 gal tank and it was a bit overwhelming, but certainly still doable. Besides this bowl in the 20 gal tank, he still had his large basking rock, tall climbing plant, 9 inch log, big water basin, and a small fresh greens bowl and he still had about 30% of the tank floor to move around as a baby so the largest size does still work for younger beardies if you have a 20 gal tank. I wouldnât put an adult beardie in a tank with this little walking space but then again a 20gal tank would be too small for an adult beardie anyway.

Great Little Dish for Giant Pixie Frog
I bought this dish (small size) for my Giant Pixie Frog (or African Bullfrog). Normally I feed him nightcrawlers, but I decided to supplement some large black soldier fly larvae as an extra bit of nutrition. Because the larvae like to burrow and pupate into flying insects, I wanted a bowl that would keep them from getting into the dirt while also allowing my frog to eat them. This bowl seems to keep them contained pretty well. I probably would get the larger bowl in the future, however, if I wanted to put dubias in there. The lip around the edge definitely helps keep the larvae in and itâs just big enough that my frog can eat out of it and see into it. Additionally, being ceramic, itâs super easy to clean. My only problems with the bowl is that 1) smaller larvae (or other small/skinny feeders) can hide under the lip which makes it a little harder for my frog to see them. And 2) because the small bowl is pretty shallow, it fills up with substrate after one feeding. (I use Joshâs Frogs Coco Cradle substrate) Both of those problems can be resolved though by 1) getting the next size up and/or 2) simply emptying the bowl out.Overall, I recommend. Just make sure you get the right size for your pet and feeders!

Dubias can escape
These are nice little bowls, but medium size dubia roaches can climb out of the small ones, especially if there are multiples in the bowl. I should have gotten a larger size!

Adorable bowl, beautiful color, but unfortunately my larvae escaped!
I purchased this bowl because I was excited by its feature of not letting small bugs escape. Unfortunately within a few minutes, one of the larvae escaped from the bowl! Ah well. I wonât be returning the bowl because it is quite adorable, and Iâm sure I could use it for something else if I get that annoyed by it/if my bearded dragon doesnât use it. Would be nice if the lip of the bowl not only curved outward, but also had a downward lip on it to make sure that the bugs canât escape.

Perfect!
Great size and thankfully didnât have any issues even though one of the boxes had received damage from what looked like it had been punched into by something finger sized. Holds a little bit of weight to it, and easy to clean, and put calcium into. Thanks for a great product at a good price!

Good
Kept my dubia roaches from escaping while feeding my bearded dragon with tongs so that is great

Anything creepy crawly can’t escape!

Any 1.5 inch superworm I put in the dish is able to escape. The dish is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The design would work if it were larger, however I assume it is escape proof for small worms, and possible roaches.

There was no bubble wrap to prevent them from breaking, so one did arrive in half, however the good one is great quality.

I admit that I was skeptical about this product because I had bought some before, but clearly I bought the wrong size. I bought their large size this time and itâs perfect for my adult bearded dragon. For comparison, I took a picture of it next to Beastie in his enclosure. He ate from the bowl right away. I monitored the super worms closely and zero escaped! He is camera shy, as soon as he saw my phone he stopped eating.

They work perfectly for my lizard, theyâre the perfect size and heavy enough that they wonât get tipped over and no mealworms have gotten out.
