Gears really hot so be careful or it will melt plastic and start a fire.

This light works as advertised. I use it currently for my hermit crab but will have to increase the bulb wattage if it gets too much colder this winter. It does its job and keeps my terrarium warm!

When I first purchased it and got it, I really liked the product. The only thing I did not like was that the light set up was always hot to the touch. You could not touch it! I would only turn it on during the day and at night turn it off. One day the back of it blew up and almost caught fire. If I wouldnât have been home to unplug it no telling what wouldâve happened. It was sparking like crazy. I was too scared to touch it so I immediately unplugged it. Luckily, I was home. Iâm so thankful it didnât fall in the tank and electrocute my turtles not only that but shattered the glass. When Iâm telling you, it was sparkling and shooting fire it was bad! I would definitely not buy this! I wish I wouldâve read the reviews before purchase. It looks like Iâm not the only one that has had issues with this product. Please read all the reviews before buying it

Works great
My granddaughter saved a toad that was hurt by another animal. After doing research we learned that it needs heat and light, so we got this. It works really well and seems to let off the right amount of heat. Many similar lights don’t include bulbs, but this one does. That makes it well worth the money, in my opinion. This light is durable and attaches really easily to the tank. It stays in place, which is very important when dealing with a heat lamp. We have a very happy, healing toad.

It does what it says! It is nice and small and portable, which makes it easy to adjust when necessary. It heats up immediately after turning it on. It comes with two bulbs so I am sure it will last for a long time!
