It heats an area of the tank semi warm , the bottom area as big as the product. Does not heat whole tank as it shouldn’t but It’s okay. Has adjustable heat setting with no gage.

The heat pad is very thin, about the thickness of a laminated piece of paper. It seems very durable and heats up quickly. The temperature adjustment is also very nice.

Low power, not very effective. No adhesive
Bought for hermit crabs to promote humidity, but didnt work out. Product works, but maybe i didnt order correctly for my needs. Doesnt get very warm even at highest setting barely noticeable with 5 gallon tank. Note that this product seems to be only useable under the tank. Instructions state not to use adhesive or tacks. More suitable for thin substrate layer
