A lot of moss!
The smell was great, as itâs foresty and helped to mask the smell of hamsters. The moss was a great touch to my enclosure, solidifying the naturalistic theme I was going for. My hamster seemed to love it, and would even move some moss into his den haha. Even aside from using it for hamster enclosures, itâs suitable enough to use for crafts as well! The only thing is that when you take out the moss, itâs compacted into chunks so you have to pick them apart to be able to spread it, but thatâs just a given with any bedding thatâs compacted into a bag like this.

Smells so fresh and love the green color. Only used 1/4 and was enough for 6 small and large reptile enclosures.

Came very compacted but soft once you fluff it up. Used one package to make 15 or so succulent arrangements and I still have a ton of moss left. It did have some random sticks or strings in it but not much. It has a very natural smell.

Poor packaging
The product itself is nice. It came to me from Amazon in the clear bag it’s packaged in which has ventilation holes. There was no other packaging. Plan on being home when it’s delivered. If it’s raining your moss will be soaked.

You get a lot of moss for the amount of monry it is. But when it came the box wasnt even closed properly, bugs couldve gotten into the moss. Another thing is it smells horrible it will stink up your entire room just from the cage and bag. Id say stick to niteangel if you dont want your room smelling like nature

Basically enrichment moss
You put this stuff in his enclosure, and he ether has fun with it, or he doesn’t. My guy uses it for bedding, and at the end of 30 days it hits the garbage with his monthly cage cleaning.

That pack will last me my Hamsterâs lifespan as we use a little in her bedding and dotted around her enclosure. Soft and she likes it.

Very good price – but every time I refill it and loosen it up, it’s awfully dusty. I’m not sure if it could actually be harmful. I use it for a hamster, and in small quantities only. I try to loosen it up outdoors, before I put it into the cage.

As a reptile owner, Iâve tried several brands of moss at this point, however, this has been the most artificially dyed one. I had to rinse all of it through a pasta drainer as there was bright green dye. This has also been the smelliest moss Iâve ever had, and it contained sharp chips of wood and plastic in the 2-3 I ordered. Moss shouldnât smell this bad, nor look like this, and I donât think itâs even a plant. Itâd be better going to places such as internet reptile instead
