Just what I needed
I use my lamp for cats, not chickens. we have outdoor cats that we do not own but feed, farrel cats I suppose you might say. they cannot come into the house because they pee on everything, the little stinkers. But it is below freezing right now in the depth of the night. I set up a lamp for them. They just bask in the infrared heat waves and seem to like the heat just fine. they curl up on their mat, under the lamp, and just snooze the night away. Totally happy with the product. It works for its intended purpose–check. The price seems OK to me, not too much–check. and it came to the house on Sunday, which is wonderful service–so check that to.

It works and is long lasting!
I reordered one for a spare. I use this in my heat lamp in my well house and beginning with the first freeze, I plug it in and leave it on 24-7. This was because my pipes froze and cracked in the well house a couple of years ago due to the polar vortex. Since then, after insulating the water tank and every pipe in the well house, this added security has been huge and is a must. Received my spare lamp yesterday and ready for any extreme cold weather.

Just perfect for my pet
My outside kitty loves this heat lamp, it helps when itâs a bit chilly out. (35 degrees and above.) anything lower he comes in my house. The light puts out good heat and my pet loves to sit in his kitty condo and soak up the heat.

strong heat source
they arrived unbroken and in working order. definitely overkill for our needs last year (i had them about 3.5 feet above the brooder and still too hot directly under the lamps) but this was mid-year so not as much heat was needed. should perform well during this cool spring when we start another batch of ducklings.
