Better than average for an inexpensive camera
This is the third of this type of baby/pet monitor cameras I have ordered. The first one was kinda pathetic in that it half worked, the second one was junk, and this the third one. It looks to be the winner out of all three. For an inexpensive camera, it works quite well. The setup menu is intuitive, fairly comprehensive in features, and easy to follow. Setup was a breeze. It advertises tracking, and so it does.It allows cloud and local recording. I did not test the cloud storage, but record length on a micro SD card is fixed at 12sec. I did not see any way to change the record length.Daylight recordings look great. It does have IR lighting, but it is rather dim.The setup menu also offers a siren feature. It is not loud, but you will hear it if triggered. It does store video locally, so you can play them back of using a micro SD card.It does provide the ability to download video clips without removing the micro SD card, but this must be done so one-by-one.The camera app does provide for sharing the camera with another user.It also allows speaking and hearing function which could be handy in controlling/consoling your pet.I like the way you can review recorded detections. If desired, it is like one long scrolling video, allowing you to jump to any point in time, forward or backwards, and it keeps right on playing; very nice! It also allows you to select and view each video clipped file if wanted. Not only does it allow you to select sensitivity levels for detecting motion, it also allows you to set levels for audio detection, so you can use either or both methods for detection. You can also select/deselect human detections. My only real peeve with this camera is the pathetic 3â power cable. Bare minimum should be a 6â cable, and 9-10â is not unreasonable.Overall, it is a decent inexpensive camera that works very well. It may work fine for minor security monitoring, but I would prefer a more dedicated security oriented camera for any serious monitoring. The app works well and is easy to use. I never had any trouble or glitches with the app or camera. As long as you understand its limits, and use the camera within those limits you should be very happy with it.

If everything is there, not a bad system
Updated :Have to say I’m impressed YYSY took notice of an issue I had with a camera set I ordered that was missing parts. It was only one set of two ordered, but they responded without prompting and are working to make it right. They also took some of the feedback offered and I appreciate that greatly.Great customer service makes a huge difference. We actually got two sets of these cameras and the overall rating takes in the good and bad from both sets.First off, one set seemed like it may have been a repackaged return as the accessories were sort of dumped in the box and the USB cables were both missing. The other set was complete and in good order. This would be a one star review if we did not have the two sets to compare as the cameras are unusable without the cable.Set up is not as simple as described, the app has a tendency to glitch when trying to attach to the wi-fi network where it does not want to allow you to put in the password. After pounding away at that a few times, the cameras did finally connect. Now we get to the better notes on these cameras. There isn’t much lag when controlling the pan/tilt on the camera from the app and very little lag in the transmitted video. Compared to the battery powered Blink cameras, the controls are much faster.Image quality is good in daylight and adequate in night vision mode. In night mode, it allows you to make out a person in a room at a distance of 35 feet (the longest range we tested) but there is no detail. Under NV, details start dropping off past 10-12 feet although you can still make out what is going on (person or dog going through the room). The app isn’t the most user-friendly thing we’ve tried, but it is functional. One thing I truly despise about cameras like this is that they send out short power cords as if the user is going to stick these right next to an outlet set low on the wall. Why can’t any of these manufacturers add at least 10′ power cables right out of the box? The short cables seem to be a standard, but it is a completely idiotic standard.Compared to Blink, the image quality is not as good, but that is offset by faster controls, always on, and better recording options. On a lighter note, each camera seems to get a slightly different voice and odd wording when doing the set up.
