The best tweezers out there. But the black, not the stainless.
I bought these in Jan of 2020 for about $30. I can’t speak to the shears as I use higher end shears, but as I recall they are definitely serviceable. What I’m writing about is the quality of materials and build overall. The sand scrapper is a sand scrapper and still going strong rust free for over 5 years. But the gem in this package are the tweezers. I have bought so many sets of aquascaping tools like this over the years. Many many sets and these tweezers are the best. They have the most finest tip which makes planting much more precise and easier. I’ve never come across another set of tweezers that have such a fine tip, excellent grip, and responsiveness. They don’t rust at all and they are as springy and as responsive as the day I bought them. I left this tweezer in the photos outside in an open 5 gallon bucket full of dragon stone for over a year and a half. The bucket burst from ice, the dragon stone bursts into a million shards as well, yet the tweezers are as good as the day they went in. Amazing. I had no idea they were in there and just assumed they got lost in a move. The angled set has been in constant use the last 5 years and it is in great shape as well. The asking price is worth the tweezers alone! Also, this is for the black set of six with one straight and one angled tweezers. Judging by the pictures the stainless set of tweezers does not seem to be as finely pointed as these. They seem to be like most others out there and hence would stick with the black. Bonus is the black doesn’t rust at all as seen in the pictures I provided of a set that has been in water over a year and a half. I don’t always dry my tools off after use and the others in the set are rust free too. This is over 5 years use.

Very good quality
I received this aquascaping toolset extremely impressed with the quality of every piece. The packaging was good – the whole kit came inside the depicted black, rugged cloth bag, and each piece was wrapped in their own plastic bag to prevent scratching against each other.I was looking for a toolkit that included wave/curve scissors to help me trim my carpeting plants down low to the substrate, as well as narrow-tipped pincettes to replace my reptile feeding tongs for planting those extremely small, delicate foreground plants that my tongs were a bit too wide and clumsy to plant with. This tool set is exactly what I was looking for. Both the straight and curved pincettes are perfectly aligned at the tips and come to almost needle-like points to make easy work and handling of the tiniest of plants. The scissors are very sturdy and pretty sharp. Every piece in this kit feels stiff, light, and durable. They are a delight to work with, and my regular maintenance with my aquascapes has become extra enjoyable with this tool set.And at a very nice price! Highly recommended!

Aquascape Powers Activate!
I use these on my saltwater tank and they’ve made cleaning, cutting, churning substrate and saving the odd upside down snail so much easier. The tools are sturdy but elegant. I even used a magnetic strip on the inside of my tank stand to hide these safely away with almost no footprint.The multiple shapes/angles make getting into tight or delicate spaces very easy and convenient. The scissors aren’t as sharp as I’d like, but for algae, they more than suffice. I would not frag a coral with it’s blade.All that said, utility and simplicity. For the price and the purpose I use them for, I recommend!

Quality tools that are beautiful too
Very nice looking and well-made tools. I am familiar with surgical instruments because of my job and these scissors and tongs look and feel of similar quality with a nice matte black finish. I didn’t realize how disruptive my aquarium gardening could be until I got these awesome tools. I have a brand new 60 gal with a canister filter that I plan on setting up as an aquascape before adding any fish, but in the mean time I have two 10 gallon tanks that I’ve been steadily stocking with plants (unless my snails taking a liking to them) and finally have some bigger plants like Madagascar lace so these tools have been super helpful when pruning leaves that are are long as they are!

the price is high but you have multiple scissors so, 🙂
