Customers say

Customers find these turnout socks effective at protecting horses from fly bites and appreciate their soft fleece edges and good value for money. The boots receive positive feedback for their quality and appearance. However, customers disagree on the fit, with some finding the full size fits great while others say the sizing is problematic. Moreover, durability and slipperiness are mixed aspects – while the Velcro sticks well, some report the boots falling down on the legs, and while some find them well-made, others mention they fell apart after the first day of use.

My horses & I both love them!
Flies!!! They drive horses crazy in the summer months! I really like the new, taller design, as it keeps even more of the very vulnerable legs of the horse protected from those blood suckers. One of my horses is very sensitive, so I knew he wouldn’t be able to handle the heavier mesh of some fly stockings. These are soft on the inside, durable on the outside, easy to wash. Some people complain about them falling down…..with these stockings you can cinch them up very snug & still not irritate the leg. I wrap the top tab first, really snug, then the bottom one–again very snug, & then secure the middle one. They stay up all day on my smaller legged Quarter Horses. Would recommend to anyone

Look good, performance and durability are just average
Put these cob size boots on our saddlebred at morning turn out. When we came back in the evening one rear boot was missing and the other one was ripped and falling off. The Velcro ripped at the stitching seam. Both front boots were still on but twisted. We readjusted them and 24 hours later they look like this…twisted and scrunched again. She has worn this fly mask for over two weeks and hasn’t lost it… I think I will try to find a different style boot.

    Really work well
Unlike other fly socks, this one is more heavy duty, stays on and doesn’t flop around. Our quarter loves it.

    Fairly Decent
Good fly boot for the price. The front boots stay much up much better with bell bots on. Hind boots slide down some but velcroing the bottom a little tighter keeps them from falling all the way down. For the price, they are a pretty good boot. No rubs so far.Sizing is a little off. My mare is average sized – 15.3 TB and in splint boots she wears a medium up front and a large in the back – and the cob size fit perfectly.

Poor quality and so many issues
These are poor quality, thin and no support. They rip easily. But they were cheap, marked down to $26, so can’t complain too much there. The fit isn’t great either. It’s like wrapping gauze around the legs and velcroing them. They fit at the top but too small at the bottom.Worst of all they don’t stay up. Both back leg wraps can in around his ankles, like old knee socks where the elastic in the top band is worn out. So I wrapped them more snuggly and walked him in them and I could hear the Velcro coming apart when he moved. The front wraps did not fall as much but they did slide as well.I do not want to wrap tighter as it would be uncomfortable. The only positive thing is the 3 pieces of Velcro, 2 wide and one narrow really secure them. BUT the Velcro is strong and can be difficult to pull apart which is only an issue because they weren’t seen on well and after 2 uses the thread holding it on is coming apart.I threw the back leg wraps away, useless. I’ll keep the fronts for these last 2 months of flies then throw them away.Don’t waste your money

    Didn’t Work For My Horse
These Turnout socks are very soft. They have the potential to be really nice, but the Velcro is so strong, I couldn’t undo it to tighten, and they slid down. One tab was torn off in a week or so. They would perhaps be better in a grassy turn out rather than a dirt paddock. I really wanted to like these, but they didn’t work out, and I had to cut them off my horse because I couldn’t undo the Velcro tabs.

Well made, tall and fit well
This is our second set of 4. Our first set is almost 2 years old, and we are still using them. They continue to hold their shape. I now ordered this set, just to have another set, for changing, after we get alot of rain, or I wash the other ones. I like how tall these are, and Phoenix loves that because they are taller then the other brands out there, the biting flies can’t get at his legs. He has always had a problem with flies on his legs. I highly recommend these and the seller of these too.

Fits nice but honestly the Velcro is held on by hopes and dreams and my horse has somehow destroyed 2/4 so far by ripping the Velcro tabs off and he’s been wearing them part time in his stall for one week on his hind legs.

Rien n’est parfait mais les bottes tiennent tout de même assez bien. J’ai prit cob pour mon cheval de 15 mains et ça fait bien
