Finally something that actually works
I have tried a lot of different things to discourage squirrels from eating from my bird feeder and finally found this product. Since putting in my feeder, I have not had any of them and the birds are not bothered by it at all.

No more squirrels!
It’s me against an army of 3 very hungry squirrels. They get peanuts and corn, but still went after anything I put in my camera feeder for the birds. This has solved my problem of the squirrels emptying my Birdfy feeder within hours of filling it, and now my Cardinals feel safe to return to their primary feeder. Will definitely be buying again.

Too spicy
Go ahead – pull a peanut out of this and eat it. Guess what – you’ll be pushing people out of your way to get to some cold water. This stuff is way too spicy. Do not feed this to any living creature.

Great birdseed
The birds adore this seed and gobble it up. The manufacturer claims it is a squirrel defendants however no one has explained that to the day is in my area as they enjoy it as much as the birds.

Not a Magic Bullet
I have been using this product for approximately 2 months now and my experience with the product is as follows: I live in Northern Virginia and the squirrels in my neighborhood hate this seed. It was hilarious watching them get a taste of it for the first time. After getting a taste, the squirrels disappeared and stopped visiting my feeder for several weeks. Unfortunately, so did the birds. Soon after I started using the product the number of birds, especially the cardinals, was cut in half, if not more. I emptied the feeder and replaced with regular seed and the numbers of birds came back. But so did the squirrels; gradually. So what I do now is alternate the Sizzle and Heat with regular seed. When I start seeing squirrels in the feeder, I switch the Sizzle and Heat for a couple of days, which keeps the squirrels away for two to three weeks, then I switch back to regular seed for the birds. It’s not an ideal situation, but it works for me, and it ensures I keep the feeder clean and the seed fresh. (I don’t throw the seed away from the feeder, I save it in a resealable bag and re-use.)
