Small
Well, it is small. Itâs about the size of a drink coaster. Ordered as a hot slate for a leopard gecko so itâs okay but will likely replace eventually with a larger one. Itâs my fault for not reading the size better

Perfect for turtle basking area
Thin so itâs not very heavy. My turtles love it and the sizes are perfect. Only complaint is 3 of the corners were broken. Could use sturdier packaging.

Great basking stone!
I like that I can use this to increase the temp for my turtles basking area without having to move the light closer. My turtles like to relax and heat themselves up on it all the time.

Health hazard to your reptile
I bought this basking slate for my bearded dragon and I washed and dried all the loose debris off thinking that it would be safe for her tank but my poor bearded dragon got slate stuck under scales twice the 1st was a small one so I washed it again and then a few days later she was in severe pain with yet another but bigger piece that was launched in her and it took a week and a half to get the other piece out of her….luky to say that she’s finally healed and I just threw the slate away ð¢

Leopard gecko loves it
So, I feel silly because I read the cm measurement in inches and was surprised that the small is basically the size of a coaster. It doesn’t matter though â my leopard gecko just loves it. She sploots on it all the time to just chill out and warm up at the same time. Going to order the medium size so she has more room to sprawl out.
