Cool little tank.
Neat little tank. You do have to buy a bubble stone for better oxygen efficiency and circulation. Also no heater so thats an add on too. Spounge is a little bit too big for the filter intake so it took me a bit to get it to stay. Cheap air hoses will have to replace them. Hope it holds up. Will review again in a few months. Also i stabilized my tank by planting live plants a few weeks prior to introducing fish. Added some shrimp to help clean leftover fish food, and snails to help with the algae.

Outstanding at keeping itself clean. Lid is annoying.
We’ll start off with the only negative I have with this item and that is the lid. Although once all the cords or cables that you might have are tucked in the provided areas the lid sits down perfectly flush when attempting to open it the lid does not go far enough back to stay open by itself and will come clacking back down which startles and stresses the fish inside. I removed the lid entirely as needing to hold a lid up without being able to use both hands is a big let down.Now for the good. I used this as the birthing place for my female guppies to allow the fry a good place to grow away from the main tank and the issue I usually have with small separate tanks is that they are hard to keep clean on a daily basis without over stressing the fry. In this case however the way its setup and designed the tank is perfect at creating a nice steady but not aggressive flow which over time guides the food and poop right into the pump and filter system keeping everything nice and clean.Setup in general is plug and play not issues at all just get the provided pump in place and assembled which takes a mere moment and then you’re ready to plug everything in. The bent glass feels very strong and durable. The overhead light for the tank is very very bright for the size of the tank but not a big problem.If the manufacturer made it so the lid would sit in an upright locked position or went back just a bit further to where it’s weight would keep it naturally open this product would be perfect. In general this is a great starter tank for beginners I would also not suggest using any kind of base gravel that is light enough to get sucked up into the filter as that might damage the pump.

Okay design; major fallacies in the claims. Perfect small quarantine tank/breeder tank.
I have this 2 gallon aquarium set up as a quarantine tank, and it is currently featuring Sabaton, the Samurai Betta, while he awaits his larger, permanent home. As an aquarium hobbyist of over 30 years I recommend that this small of a tank not be used as a permanent residence for fish. A small colony of snails, shrimp, etc might be okay in here, but a 2 gallon tank is NOT appropriate for full-time living for even a Betta despite what the product information claims. It also claims that a mini parrotfish can live in hereâ¦.There is NO such fish. Freshwater parrot fish can grow to an average of 8 inches and anyone keeping them in such a small tank and depriving them of space, food, and fresh water to keep them tiny is guilty of animal cruelty. A company that promotes that is horrible. As a safety practice, I like to have small tanks at my disposal for use as quarantine for fish that are new to my menagerie. They will live in them so I can keep a close eye on their health for a least a couple of weeks, but usually a month, to make sure they havenât brought any diseases or poor genetics that I donât want to introduce to my existing stock.This tank is a nice, rounded edge, glass design that was easy to set up and is easy to maintain. The filter is very basic and it does not have a cotton filter pad as described in the listing, but rather, a poly fill pad. This is fine for short-term use. The flow is adjustable, but even set at its highest is not strong enough in my opinion. It would be suited for some fish that require no/low flow or for fry.I do not like that the product listing challenges owners to try to break the glass and if they can, they will replace it for free. That is abominable because even if the glass doesnât break, the integrity of the tank and its seals will be compromised by the stress. Itâs also wasteful.

Happy to recommend this 2 Gallon Glass Aquarium Starter Kit from the TARARIUM Store. I like that it had the built-in self-cleaning/filter system and the LED lights. I got this planning to use it as a hospital tank, but ended up getting a beta for it. I like how clear the glass is. The compact size limits the number of fish youâll be able to put in, but can definitely see where shrimps or smaller tetras would enjoy this environment. Looks great in my work desk!

Poor quality for the price.
Meh. Purchased the ten gallon tank. I have two other well-established tanks currently. The temperature display is constantly on and only in Celsius. The lights must be manually turned on/off (no timer) and have one brightness setting. The filter setup is also poorly designed. Regret purchasing and I would recommend spending $130 elsewhere on better quality products.
