Works great
This product smelled like I was basting my bearded dragon in old bay seasoning. It worked really well and saved us a trip to a lizard vet. My only suggestion to the shippers of the product would be to not cover the instructions with your white stick on label.

4 stars because I just got it.
So, as you can tell, she was NONE too happy about me putting this on her! LOL! She has Mouth Rot, mostly on the left side of her mouth, so I made this into a paste and applied it to her mouth on the outside, and since she’s mad and has been chasing the cat around, LOL, when she had her mouth open, I shoved a little of this in her mouth too, so she would ingest it. My recipe for the paste is 2 level capfuls of Rot Guard to 1 level capful of tap water. So far, so good, so we’ll see what happens. Also, I agree with the person who posted this review:Amazon Customer5.0 out of 5 stars Works greatReviewed in the United States on April 24, 2024Verified PurchaseThis product smelled like I was basting my bearded dragon in old bay seasoning. LOL! Hopefully I can save a trip to the Lizard Vet too.We shall see. :)p.s. If it works, I’ll come back and update this or write a new review. 🙂

Bearded dragon tail rot
My bearded dragon has tail rot. At first, I tried using diluted betadine and regular neosporin for about 2 months and saw no improvement. Iâve been using Rot Guard for about 2 weeks, I saw improvements early on. Iâd recommend this over betadine/neosporin.Itâs a little difficult at first to get the hang of mixing it into a paste. It really feels like clay once water is added. It needs a lot of water to form into paste, but once you get the hang of it, itâs no problem. I create a warm paste and rub it on to his tail and leave it to sit until I reapply it. I also love the probiotics from this brand, although the two look so similar Iâve actually accidentally used the probiotics on his tail instead of the rot guard. I donât think he minded though lol.I really hope they never pull this from the shelves. As a reptile owner and care taker, Iâd keep this on hand always along with their probiotics.

Saved my leopard geckoâs tail!!
I noticed about 2mm of my geckoâs tail turning black about a week after he shed but he didnât get the literal tail end of skin removed, must have cut off his circulation and caused tail rot after some research. I bought this in a panic, mixed with water to make a paste and applied w a qtip as a topical to the tip of his tail that was black with the tail rot. Only took about 2-3 days of applying it for results!! I could tell it was starting to peel so I kinda held his tail and he pulled away and the dead tip came off. Going to use neosporin so that wound can heal now. This product saved me $150 trip to the vet!!
