Great starter kit for beginners

Pretty good product for price, but really couldn’t spool the fly line?
I truly don’t why they can include the backing on a spool, but couldn’t include the fly line on a spool. If you’re buying this product, go ahead and buy your own fly line. Because it’s a hassle and a waste of time use the included fly line. The clippers are junk too.Otherwise, I like the pole and the case is adequate. Great product for beginners. But again, buy your own fly line.

Snapped
Finally got to use this rod and it snapped like a twig. Since it was the only rod I have I repaired it and it snapped again in a different spot. Do not recommend this pole. Broke the first time using it.

Fantastic for the price
This rod is priced very well for what you get. The rod and reel feel great. The line, backer, and tippit seem like good quality. The flies are ok, nothing fancy but as a bonus item they work. You could say it’s a good priced beginners reel, or a low cost great reel for all levels, I know I am happy with it.

Great gift for kids fishing set
I got this for my son who is getting more and more into fishing and fly fishing. He loves this set. It came with everything he needed to get started. The quality of the rod and reel are great, he has used it multiple times so far and really put it to the test. It has held up and he really enjoys himself. Has caught a few fish and hasn’t noticed any issues with the performance after adding the weight and reeling in the fish. The kit is a great value as it comes with everything you need. Makes a great gift for holidays or birthdays as well. Recommend.

Reel is no spooled and the flies are not something you would use.
The rod itself is pretty lightweight and seems to have a nice action. The reel is not bad and has a decent size and is pretty lightweight. I gave it three stars because the reel was not spooled with the backing, fly line, and leader. The included instructions didnât include how to do that either. The fly box included and the flies are inferior so I would t even count them. In general if you are looking for a ready to fish kit this is not it. Just think about it like a $65 fly rod and reel, the extras are not useable.
