For this price, this is may be as good as it will get. Itâs not as nice as the heavy duty plastic ones. The metal base is quite stable due to its size (large and somewhat unwieldy) but itâs quite light. On hard surfaces like concrete or a gravel pad where many horses are being trimmed, the metal is very rattly and noisy. I like that it comes with a sling and a post, but both are quite large. They look more draft sized than normal sized to me, but still work for all horses Iâve used this for. If you have the budget to spring for the nice heavy duty plastic one, that one is superior, but itâs way more expensive. At this price point, Iâm happy with the product. Will use this lots.
