A common sense farm background combined with an eagerness to perform research and development has led to innovations in packaging and manufacturing. Our suet cake in the candy bar wrapper solves messy handling while also minimizing the amount of waste leftover. Our extensive line of Variety Packs offers the convenience and variety that consumers appreciate.
Birds Love our Suet!
This woodpecker is enjoying one of our Nuts and Berry Suet cakes in a Wildlife Sciences feeder located off a residential deck in Rockford, MN!

Recyclable Minimal-Waste Packaging!
Our New and Improved Clean Easy Open Packaging
Our Suet Cakes are wrapped in a “candy bar” wrapper! This means there is less mess and less waste than the old traditional trays.
The Old Messy Trays
The trays are messy, require tools like scissors or knives and sometimes you even have to use your hands to get the suet out!
Less Packaging equals Less Waste
Our Packaging is 100% recyclable and there is just plain less of it. We use 80% less packaging by weight. This means that there is less in the landfill and more going back to be reused again and again.
Waste
The tray is an outdated and inefficient use of materials. Not only is the packaging larger than our wrapper and going to the landfill, but also the suet sticks to the tray! This means more for the garbage and less for the birds!

Customers say
Customers find the suet cakes a good value and easy to use. They find the variety pack provides different options and is a great subscription item. The suet cakes are solid and don’t crumble or fall apart easily. However, some customers have reported issues with durability, such as the suet being too soft and falling apart. There are mixed opinions on bird love, meltability, and messiness.

The birds loves this Woodpecker 8 Pack
I have a suet feeder outside my office window using the Woodpecker 8 Pack suet. I get 4 kinds of Woodpeckers eating the suet. I also get 4 or 5 other types of birds eating it. It seems to be a bit hit for my local birds.

Our birds love them
A delightful blend that our winter birds absolutely adore. Fresh and well packed. Hold up a long while and easily broken down and digested by the smaller birds. I like the size and thickness. A great value at a lower cost. Good quality suet.

My favorite suet-sorry squirrels.
After reading most of the reviews, I was somewhat leary about purchasing this spiced suet to thwart the furry devils that devour my suet feeders daily. I’m so glad I did!The Cardinals, Titmice, Nuthatches, Sparrows, and Wrens all line up to take turns at the feeders. The pesky squirrels are nowhere to be seen. I only have to replace the cake every 2nd or 3rd day instead of every day because of the squirrels. The birds absolutely love it.

Good Value
The birds (and squirrels) love this and obtaining 15 at a time is very convenient and economical.

Squirrel bait
I bought what I thought was a “hot pepper” suet that squirrels wouldn’t eat. The squirrels love it. The birds seem to like it too, but the remaining cakes will have to go where the squirrels can’t reach.

The most important thing about this product is that the birds do like it, a lot, and itâs easy to replace, great product all the way around.

Not messy, no melting and the birds love it. I didnât realize the cost of shipping was going to be that expensive. More than the product ð¤¦ââï¸
Iâm disappointed. The steel is starting to rust –
The birds liked it

Unfortunately the birds do not seem to like these suet cakes. They have been used at a couple of different locations (different family member houses) and the birds are not touching them.Unfortunately they, in my opinion, are a waste of money and are not worth purchasing. I recommend to the producers that they try a different ingredient for the suet cakes.Thank you
