Product Description
How Do I Use The Shrimp Leaves?
The SunGrow Leaves are incredibly easy to use. Depending on the size of tank and the pH level needed, drop a few leaves. You can take off or add more as per requirement. You can use full leaves in larger tanks and tear the leaves into smaller pieces for 5-gallon tanks.
What are The Benefits of Indian Almond Leaves? Water Conditioner
See the tank water achieve their optimal pH level after you add our leaves.
Naturally Derived Food Source
Over a period of time a layer of biofilm gets created on top of the leaf which serves as a nutritional food source especially for breeding shrimps.
Encourage Foraging & Breeding
The tea-colored water created by the magical leaves aims at creating the ideal shrimp enclosure. It encourages breeding and fitter crustaceans.
Encourages Shedding
Shrimps has the tendency to molt and it consumes their lot of energy. Once they are at their optimal well-being, they shed their skin effortlessly.
How Many Leaves Should I Add?
Depending on the size of your shrimp tank and the pH level needed, start by dropping a few leaves into your tank. You can always take off leaves or add more as per the requirement. If you have a variety of tanks, you can use full leaves in larger tanks and tear the leaves into smaller pieces for one to five-gallon tanks.
What is so “Magical” about SunGrow Shrimp Leaves?
Seemingly simple, they are one of the most hardworking products in your tank, providing a slew of benefits. They create ideal environment for ailing shrimps. As a nutritional food source, they enhance shrimp’s color, accelerate recovery rate, balance pH, provide shelter and entertainment.
How should I prepare the leaves before using?
Wash in tap water first, boil for 10 minutes using fresh or bottled water, you can also soak for 30 minutes or more in bottled water. Ensure the leaves are properly cooled before introducing them into your aquarium.
Do Catappa leaves change the water color?
Yes, they do. The leaves release tannins, which can cause the water to turn slightly brownish or yellowish. This is entirely normal and safe for the fish. In fact, many fish species, like bettas, enjoy and thrive in this good, tinted environment.
How long do Catappa leaves last in the aquarium?
The leaves will gradually break down over time as they release their beneficial compounds. They can last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Once they have disintegrated, you can replace them with fresh leaves.
Are these leaves only for Shrimps?
No, even snails and fish love Catappa leaves.
Can these leaves be used with other aquarium additives like medications or fertilizers?
It is best to avoid using medications or other additives simultaneously or take off the leaves temporarily during any treatment. Tannins and other substances released by the leaves might interfere with the effectiveness of certain medications.

Creates Conducive Ambiance For Shrimp — Several breeds of shrimp have habitats in mountain streams surrounded by overhanging trees and brush, making the area abundant in fallen leaves and plant debris. Adding Shrimp leaves to their tank mimics their native habitat and gives them the privacy to encourage a thriving breeding habitat. A must-have for all shrimp breeders, Mini Shrimp leaves provide a secure shelter for adult shrimp and a convenient hiding spot for baby shrimp.
Raw Shrimp Leaves — For the most beneficial addition to your shrimp tank, the SunGrow Shrimp Leaves are a perfect choice. While products available in the market may or may not be genuine, the Mini catappa leaves are unprocessed. They vary in size with average length being 2 inches (5 cm). Drop 12 leaves per 12 gallon (50 litres). If you want to boil leaves, then use 20 boiled leaves per 12 gallon (50 litres).
Delicious Treat For Your Shrimp — A few days after you place the shrimp leaves in the tank, they will slowly get to the bottom. In some time, they soften on which shrimp love to graze on. This food provides a balanced diet and aids in building your shrimp’s health. Shrimp love this delicious treat and will eat the leaves right down to the skeleton.
A Must-Have For Shrimp Keepers — These Indian Almond leaves are essential in keeping your shrimp healthy and happy. These leaves have beneficial properties that help in calming your shrimp (particularly important if you are introducing more or moving them).
Handpicked For Optimum Quality — If you pick the leaves outside, you cannot be sure of the quality they might have. The catappa leaves that we are offering are sourced from reliable sources. PREPARATION: Before placing the product in the aquarium, rinse before use, even after boiling or soaking. A “post-boil soak” in fresh water is a recommended step, too.
Customers say
Customers find these catappa leaves effective for their shrimp tanks, noting that their shrimp love hiding under them. The leaves are large, clean, and arrive in good condition, with one customer mentioning they release tannins into the water. They are particularly suitable for nano tanks, and customers consider them good value for money.

Shrimp leafs
Shrimp Ashley seem to love these leaves. You get a huge amount for the price. I just put a small piece in every now and then and it last a very long time before degrades but it helps give the shrimp nutrients as a neon my shrimp. Keep breeding like crazy.

Tanins check, Shrimp food check
Has tons of tanins, makes 10 gallon tanks into the boston harbor when taxes. Shrimp chill on them once in a while, Shrimp will eat up the leaf if theres no food so its a good food to leave if your gone for a long trip. Great aesthetic too for shrimp food too.

My fish, shrimp and snails love these
I use these in all of my aquariums. Was having issues with high ph and tried adding crushed materials to filtration system but these are so much easier and create a great hiding place for new babies and break down over time in the tank. You have to soak these or allow them to float for a while in your tank to sink to bottom but once they becoming water logged you can position them where you will. I got these to try and are the perfect size for my 10 and 20 gallon tanks and can be cut up for smaller tanks. I quarter them to use in my 2.5 gallon tank and use them whole in my 5 gallon tank but have also added multiple leaves to my larger tanks. My pleco loves them, my snails are fascinated by them and gives my fry somewhere to hang out safely and avoid being eaten by larger fish in my tanks. Heard about them via a youtuber and thought I would give them a try and they have worked well for me to drop the ph level as well as keeping healthy bacteria in my tanks. I would highly recommend to others for aquatic pets.

Good price
Works well, lowers ph and realeses tannins into the water
Liza –
These are okay
Some of the leaves looked to be rotting too fast but for the most part they are good, the shrimps will hide under them and its pretty cute to see.

Great for Nano Tanks.
These smaller Mini Catappa Indian Almond Leaves are great for Nano tanks, since all my tanks are nano, and I raise Guppies, Endlers, as well as Shrimps, these smaller leaves work great for me. While I do have a bunch of the larger Catappa leaves, in order for me to use them, I have to tear them apart for my Nano tanks, so these are a lot easier since all I have to do is drop them in the tanks. Needless to say, the shrimp really like to eat them and very quickly.

Looks really good
I have a 55 gallon fish tank I took all the floor rocks out and use this â better and the fish love it
Jack1 –
Effective & efficient
My nano tank was hyper-alkalinic in pH & TA. I was frustrated that nothing I did was working: some plants were withering, and some of my Neocaridina shrimp died. I placed 1 leaf & problem solved! Water is optimal; now my plants & shrimp are thriving.
