Quality Product, Looks Good Too
I bought this for my bird, Conner the Conure. It’s big–so be warned. Each oe of the rings is big enough that Conner (about the size of a cockatiel, if you don’t know what a conure is) could actually sit inside the ring and perch on them. Of course, because of the way they cascade on each other, he can’t do that. He does, however, sometimes like to hang from the rings and he likes to swing the toy from the cage. It’s long–it is really almost 20 inches long enough you include the hook to hang it and all, so you don’t want to buy this is you have a small cage. However, if you have a play perch outside of the cage, this could be a perfect toy to hang from that play perch.It’s colorful and Conner does like to chew on it (he chews on everything, so that’s normal) but it’s sturdy enough he hasn’t done any significant damage to it and we’ve had it a couple of months now. It’s solid, the metal is not galvanized and there are no sharp edges. It appears to be very safe for birds both small and large, nothing to get stuck on or in.I’d recommend it for a bird who likes toys, and it’s big enough that an Amazon or Grey would like it, possibly even a cockatoo, and yet, my small Pineapple Green Cheeked Conure loves it too.

My parrot, a Red Bellied, seem to be enjoying shredding this toy. But it seems to take him time to destroy- which ia a huge bonus.Will buy again!

My Grey Loves this Toy but not very durable
My grey loves this toy, but destroys it within 2 days of getting each time.Really unfortunate that the price keeps going up every other week though. from 8 dollars to 12 since august. Unfortunate

Fantastic toy, even for smaller birds
My parakeets seem to really enjoy this toy. It is definitely pretty large, but I hung it near a perch and they really like climbing all over it and gnawing at the wood. Itâs great too for hiding some millet in for them to forage for. They way the wood lays and the weight of it works well to hold small cut sprigs in the middle, giving them both a treat and a little challenging play. Due to itâs size though I would recommend it for somewhat larger cages.I included a picture of my husband hand feeding a few of our birds back when we first got it to give you an idea of scale.

My Cockatoo Loves this thing
I have ordered this toy 5 or more times. The delivery is always fast. I have a greater sulfur crested cockatoo and this ” toy ” is just perfect for him. It’s made up of a combination of rings which are made out of a dense pressed cardboard. At first glance I thought they were wood but once I examined them closer I realized they were cardboard. And 1/4 to 1/2 inch pine strips. This is for chewing and although it doesn’t last much more than 3 or 4 days. My cockatoo manages to chew apart every part of this toy. It keeps him busy. That alone is worth the price. But honestly I’ve owed him for going on 32 years and In that time I’ve come across few toys that he’s liked better. I don’t know why he likes it but he does. Will your bird like it as much as mine. I don’t know since birds can be as fickle as little kids but I recommend you give it a try if you have a medium or large parrot. As you can see from my pictures, that is what was left after 1 day.

Good toy but seriously…we can make this ourselves! I donât like the dye AND I rather buy safe wood myself! This wood is dangerous and I became more aware reading horror stories from other birds choking on the wood and how it shreds! Homemade toys can be unsightly but my baby boy goes for them more so than these wood toys on amazon. Be careful buying online as well…too many knock offs!!! Store bought is a bit more costly but looks more legit…

Great toy (just replace the zinc hook with something else)
My African Grey loves the olympic rings. I love how the toy is made of safe materials (except the hook which is magnetic and therefore may contain zinc). I simply replaced the hook with a stainless steel one and all is well!It is true that a magnet will connect to stainless steel. However, with lead and zinc based metals, the magnet connection will be much stronger than with a stainless steel material. Iron is also magnetic but covered with non-toxic paint makes it safe for birds. It is better to be safe than sorry since the zinc/lead issue is a huge silent killer with pet birds that many people are unaware of.

My Mexican Redheaded Amazon LOVES this toy, and we all know how hard they are to please! I just wish he wouldn’t shred it so damn fast, lol. He is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to what he likes and doesn’t play with much for toys, so this says a LOT!Just don’t raise the price or I’ll stop buying them and make my own!
