Super Bird Creations bird toys designated for small pet birds are suitable for birds including budgies, lovebirds, parakeets, parrotlets, small conures and cockatiels. Even finches and canaries will enjoy toys with shiny bells, swings and preening features.

Since 1992, Super Bird Creations has been focused on designing bird toys and products to address the instinctual needs of pet birds to help ward off boredom, depression, aggression, and destructive behaviors by stimulating physical activity, curiosity and mental engagement. Our bird toy designs utilize a diverse selection of stimulating materials and encompass all the critical destructible, interactive, comfort, exercise and foraging bird toy categories necessary to ensure the well-being of pet birds.

For small bird toys we utilize softer woods like balsa and sola as well as natural plant materials to encourage exploration and chewing. Of course, we also incorporate lots of other fun and colorful features to stimulate their visual, tactile and auditory senses and to challenge their minds.

Playthings with a Purpose!

Instinctively, pet birds are still very much like their wild counterparts. Play is a natural behavior for parrots. Wild parrots have been observed engaging in several different kinds of play including object play, balancing games, play that involves movement, acoustic play and social play with other birds like “chase me” or pretend fighting.

However, in captivity, opportunities to participate in natural activities have been reduced to a bare minimum leaving a lot of “free time” often leading to boredom which in turn has been shown to result in the development of behavioral, mental, and physical health problems.

Providing enrichment in the form of purposely designed bird toys can alleviate boredom. Bird toys are more than mere playthings when it comes to your bird! Providing pet birds with opportunities to chew, forage, preen and explore is critical to their well-being.
