Painting sun catchers is the perfect creative activity for kids! The glass stains in these pens are water based and safe for children to use. Apply to project directly from pen. These glass stains are permanent when dry so it is suggested to cover your work surface with paper or disposable table cloth. Children should wear their “painting shirt” or use a painting apron. If neither are available you may also turn their shirt inside out. If you wish to remove glass stain from fabric it is suggested that you do so while the glass stain is still wet. Permanent when dry. Wipe tip of pen with paper towel after use and replace cap tightly. Dry to touch in 30 to 60 minutes. Air dry 24 hours before use. Contains 18 stain colors (5ml of each color): Red, orange, tangerine, yellow, light green, dark green, cobalt blue, royal blue, light purple, dark purple, violet, lavender, pink, rose, silver, gold, brown, black.

Messy but fun
Used these to paint sun catchers at my 5 year old son’s birthday party. It was a big hit, but the pens are not as big as you’d expect and also very messy. None of the tips are pre-opened so you have to cut them with scissors. A few of them burst open when the tip was cut and paint ended up all over. Luckily the kids were wearing art smocks. Definitely need adult supervision with kids on these because the paint comes out fast!

Don’t waste your money!
Terrible!! I bought these for my daughters birthday party thinking they would be easier than using paint and brushes… WRONG!! Half of them were dried up and didn’t work, the rest either had to have the tubes cut open to get the paint out or the top taken off, which resulted in huge globs on the sun catchers and a huge mess! Also, it says drying time is an hour but 3 days later it’s still not dry!!

Not what I was hoping for
Bought these for use at a girl scout event. About 1/3 of the pens were so goopy they could not be used by the girls. When they squeezed the paint out of the usable pens it sent air bubbles with it that had to be popped immediately or they would not pop at all. The amount of paint was only enough to do 8 3×2″ suncatchers. Thank goodness two girls were absent or we would have run out.The pens are a great idea but they left much to be desired.

I love these because they are so much easier for the kids to paint with, but they dry out on top if there’s paint around the edges and it’s hard to get the lid back off.

Not good for 7 and younger
Not good for kids 7 or younger. I Had know idea how messy these were. They also stained a wood table.I bought them for one of our activities at my sons party. There were ages 3-12 using them and they were such a mess. I would say they should be used for more of the 10-12 age group.
