Customers say
Customers find the hoof nippers work well, particularly for pot bellied pigs, and appreciate their build quality, with one noting they’re heavy duty for the price. The product is easy to use and customers consider it a great value, though opinions on sharpness and value are mixed, with some finding them super sharp while others say they’re not sharp enough. The handles receive criticism for being too long and bending together.

Makes a very tough job easier!
Honestly, I’d rather go to the dentist for a root canal over trimming a cow’s foot. But when you’ve got to do it, well, you’ve got to do it. These make the job faster and easier (on both you and the animal). I didn’t care how much I had to spend, I wanted the best I could possibly get for this task! Just stabilizing a 1,000 pound cow long enough to get a hold of their leg and trim a hoof is hard enough. Crummy tools make this job even worse. This pair of nippers got the job done. In fact, one of our vets even came by and asked if they could borrow them for another customer they were helping; theirs weren’t strong enough. Thank you.

Very happy & great for goats!
My goats seem to have hooves 2″ thick, lol. I’ve literally destroyed a brand new pair of Fiskar pruning shears in about 2 minutes trying to trim hooves. This works like a charm. I’ve never bought nippers before, but I really like this. It’s heavy weight, feel well made and sharp as hell. It made taking care of hooves SOOOOO much easier.

Very good product for the nice price
They are very heavy duty for the price, these usually run about $80 at a farm store. I had my husband cut the handles shorter for me and my small woman hands bc I’m using them indoors on a 200lb piggie. But I have to use both hands to utilize them, but u probably have to on all of these types of clippers, no complaints here!ð

Item as as described but an FYI
These clippers were well made and did work fine. They are Sharp and were as described but and FYI if you have small hands and hard hoofs this job was not easy to do at all. The handles being so long made it a bit more difficult to use the clippers but that is not to say they did not work . I would just be sure your up to a kind of tough job

Awesome hoof nippers!
Very hard to find good quality hoof nippers. Either they are too small or just not strong enough to do the job, but these are perfect and sharp for tough, old hoofs and I recommend them for serious hoofing jobs..

Heavy Duty Hoof Nipper
For a generic brand, the Hoof Nipper was well made and I’m glad that is the one I tried because brand or generic these nippers and too hard to use verses filing. Only a little bit of hoof can be trimmed at a time and it was just not practical to use. I bought them because my horse had laminitis and was not able to stand. Crazy as it sounds my large pruning sheers worked better even though they were not designed for such a use. I’m giving 3 stars because of the way all nippers work not this one in particular.

Not sharp!
This comes in a poor package, is not sharp and very dull! Got these to fix up my horse’s hooves and ended up having to get my sister, who typically has more strength in her arms, and not even she could really get them to clip properly! If you’re gonna sell horse hoof nippers they should at least be sharp so no one is trying to kill themselves trying to nip off an overgrown hoof tip!

LOVE THEM
It works sooooo well. y only complaint is that the handles are so long its a little difficult for a womans hands but they work great on my pigs hooves.

I got these because my one pig is a nightmare when it comes to hoof upkeep. We don’t have any pig trimmers in our area so I have tried everything under the sun. And attempting to catch and flip a 220lb mini pig is not easy when he knows what is coming when we do try. So I decided to buy these so that when he’s laying down sleeping and not caring what I’m doing to his feet I could use these and just do a bit of trimming here and there to keep them at a good length and maintained. Well last night I tried them and he literally slept through the whole thing and I got them all trimmed and shaped nicely. these cut very well and are really easy to use. I’m a woman with smaller hands and I didn’t have any issues. Just be careful because they are SHARP and would take a finger off no problem.

look OK

These nippers are absolutely useless in trimming my horses hooves. They don’t even close evenly and haven’t got enough torque to close and cut. Waste of money. Might be OK for goats or sheep but no good for horses.

I like this super strong/ durable tool. It’s my first time trimming my 250 lb. pet pigs hooves, “Rudy Floyd Bubaloo”, so I find them sturdy and comfortable. The only thing is the bright handle. I like them but I feel Rudy will easily spot them and dislike the tool so I plan to wrap it with black electrical tape. Thank you!
