This measurement will help you determine the size blanket you need. Washing Instructions – It is recommended that Tough1(R) blankets be hand washed in cool water using mild detergent. This may extend the life of the waterproof properties of the blanket. If washing in a machine, it is recommended that a commercial grade machine with cold water and mild detergent be used. Remove as much loose hair and dirt as possible before washing. This will make it easier for the machine to effectively clean the blanket. Straps should be adjusted to their shortest length or removed, if possible, when machine washing. If a spot remover is to be used, test on an inconspicuous area. Blanket should be hung and allowed to air dry. Horses Turned Outside without Shelter – Turnout Sheet and Blanket materials are waterproof and designed to keep your horse dry, however if your horse is turned out in a field without a run in shed or shelter during prolonged rain or heavy downpours your horse may still get wet especially in the neck and tail areas. Nice Blanket
I like this blanket very much.It runs a little small compared to another brand I am using so it took me a couple of purchases to get the right sizes for my two.My mare wears a 72 it he other brand and took a 75 in this.My gelding wears a 75 in the other brand and took a 78 in this.I orderd a 72 and 75 first then added the 78.The first two fit fine in the fron but were a little short through the back without enough back end coverage. The next size up fit nicely in the neck and gave them more coverage on the back end.The extra gusset in the back gives them plenty of room for movement.I also like the tough outer shell, the weight of the blanket, the front snap buckles and the rings on the top of the neck for attaching neck covers. The rings also come in very handy for hanging the blankets up to dry or air out and in between uses as we do not have to blanket here every day.A big thumbs up from me AND my horses.

Great blanket.
As advertised, I probably could have ordered one a little smaller so sizes run a little big. The blanket is great, it even has a neck size adjustment in case you need to take it up a little. I would buy it again.
