GarlicGuard is an all natural garlic scented odor and flavor enhancer for freshwater and saltwater fish. Our research has shown that many fish are attracted to natural odors, such as garlic. Simply mix GarlicGuard with any food item to attract the interest of finicky eaters, e.g. discus and marine angelfish. Safe for reef and planted aquariums. MetroPlex is an effective and safe treatment for fish . It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. It can either be dosed into the water or combined with Focus in a food mix. It will treat both internal and external problems regardless of the delivery method. When used in a food mix, it is excellent for treating dirt in tanks that contain invertebrates. MetroPlex is gentle and there little danger of overdosing. KanaPlex is a blended kanamycin based medication that safely and effectively treats several things ). Because it is absorbed by fish it is useful in treating internal things in those situations where food is refused. It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. Itâs works!
I used these meds for some new fish that developed ich and some mystery sore. I was a little scared to try medicated food for fish. I never have before. But the the instructions are great and easy to follow. The fish gobbled the medicated food right up each time. My fish all recovered.

Proper dosing- for FOOD use only
Update: This works!!! It cured the epistylus on all fish in my aqaurium. I did not lose any fish.
Still waiting for effects… however , I read reviews about fish dying because they added TO the water… DONT!
Here is the recipe on proper dose:
1 TBSP fish food
1 scoop kanaplex and/or metroplex
1 scoop Focus (binding agent)
Add a few drops of water or garlic sauce for flavor
Mix together and feed. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers. Don’t add to water. It will be toxic. It needs to be ingested only! I have heard good results using it as FOOD. Will update soon…

seachem has great products and these were no different. My Discus fishes had bacterial infection from introducing new fish from pet store . Due to the fast delivery I was able to treat them so quick.

Saved my Pleco from âhole in the headâ
Figured out my fish ( Pleco ) had hole in the head. I had previously been treating her with Paraguard for about a month before I figured out what was actually wrong with her.
I bought the metroplex which worked great. Turns out my fish didnât like any of the other stuff in the combo. I tried soaking her algae wafers and seaweed sheets in a combined solution of metro / garlic / Focus. The seaweed predictably fell apart and she wouldnât touch the medicated algae wafers.
So I just added metroplex to the water and it helped her heal up. It took about 3 weeks of dosing the water every other day. I had to buy about 3 or 4 bottles of metroplex ( 100 gallon tank ). Now her âfaceâ has grown back and sheâs ok again. Thank goodness for the science / scientists that develop medicines like these.

I think feeding medication is best rather than just throwing it in the water, takes less dose and don’t have to remove your chemical media from filter, the garlic makes the fish go nuts just mix the medicine with a cap of garlic and let it marinate, agter day 3 the fish with the sunken belly, now have their bellies back, day 5 now they all look nice and plump, this is a great kit and I think feeding medication is the best way to go no matter if you’re fighting infections, ich, etc etc
