Very impressed
This pet door is much nicer than other regular pet doors i’ve purchased. Looks very well made, fits nicely together with the weatherstrip. Looks great and operates easily.

For screen install: read this or have a back-up screen ready!
I was replacing the screen and had extra material (thank goodness), otherwise this would have 1 star. The 1st time around, I placed the cut-out in its place and did the big circle. MISTAKE! Screens are that strong on a window and the door kept sliding all over. The 2nd time around (after I re-screened the frame), I put the bottom of the door under the screen and cut out around the door and side knobs. I actually screwed through the screen for stability. This worked great. We live in a 2 story and put a ledge out our window and our kitty rests on the ledge. Sheâs a little afraid of the door so I shoved a hair scrunched in the top to keep it open for her until she knows how to really use it well.

Works on Window Screens
With a slightly different installation process this will work on a window screen. We wanted something that would not be an eyesore in our loft office space. So clear plastic was highly preferred. Our cats like to go in and out of that window for their evening prowling but we didn’t want flies coming in this summer, so the screen needs to stay on and not get tore up by persistent cats. I’ve included photos of us installing. My husband outside me inside, we screwed it in place with two of the three screws. Then put slices in the screen to allow it the slack needed to fit together, front and back. It telescopes together. Then he installed the third screw and tightened the other two screws. Last, trimmed off the excess screen so the door swings freely. Both of our cats are fans! It did take the 5 year old, big brother more time to trust it wasnt going to smack him. Little brother, 1 year old, has no fear. Also, the window still closes after installation, which we tested BEFORE installing.

Love that it’s all clear & easy to open
I was afraid my cat wouldn’t like pushing this open with his head, but the door swings easily & the magnet is just strong enuff to hold the door closed. Once he got the hang of it, he’s like a little kid going in & out.
I love that the entire door flap & frame are clear since I installed it in an acrylic panel & set it up in the open window so my window pane wouldn’t have to be altered. It’s not an eye sore & it doesn’t block the view. His majesty can look out & decide if he wants to partake in the out of doors.

Lock is useless
I had it installed in plexiglass which I inserted into a window. It looks great as a custom insert I can see through. The big problem is that the locking mechanism is useless. The component that rotates to hold the door locked on the outside is so small that my cat is able to blow right to the door when itâs locked. I definitely wouldâve returned it but itâs already installed, so Iâm just going to have to figure out how to modify it.

Works perfectly.
I installed one of these cat flaps in a piece of plexiglass so my cats can go through the window to their catio. I like that it’s clear and doesn’t obstruct the view. I also like that it’s got weather stripping so it doesn’t let the air conditioning out. If anything happens to this one, I’ll definitely buy the same brand.

Paw touch to Headbutt
My husband built this for our rescue kitty. We ordered this door for him. When he was first testing it out…. his little paw got caught as he was experimenting with pushing a little at a time. I believe he may have lost a little if his nail from it…. but we kept telling him to âpushâ and he learned to use his head. Now he loves when I go to open up my bedroom window…. he is right out the cat door to his catio! Door works great!
