Why does this aquarium gravel vacuum not work or stop working?
1. The Correct Use is to Put the Pump in the Water and Then Power it On, otherwise the pump will not be started. If you have first powered it on and then put the pump in the water, the pump will stop working for a few seconds, please turn it on and off repeatedly to exhaust the air of the pump, and then everything will go back to normal.

It does work!
Well first off. This thing definitely isnât for anything smaller than a 20 gallon tank. Barely fit my 10 gallon tank. Took a picture of it on the lid for a rough idea of the size. Itâs huge to say the least. As for how it works. I love it! Cleaned the bottom of my tank up easy. I have a sand bottom tank! Do be careful though because the sponge filter it comes with doesnât stop all the fine sand and will suck some of it up into the spinner. All can be taken apart and cleaned though so no worries. As shown in the picture I had noticed people had issues with the sand cleaner and getting it apart. I was able to get mine apart with a little wiggling and pulling straight apart and not twisting it. I would recommend this product!

Really nice and good price but arrived with a broken power cord switch
A very well thought out product and easy to use.The manual is not super clear and some translations are bad…but one can figure it out.Why don’t they run these manuals by a native speaker before printing them????The issue is that the power switch won’t stay in the ON position. It appears to be missing a spring inside?So when I turn it on it just flops into OFF. I taped the ON down with electrical tape for now which is not a great solution since it will begin running as soon as plugged in. Amazon is sending me a replacement which is nice but too bad they can’t just send the power cord..

Best bang for your Buck!
I am a newbie aquarium hobbyist. I was nervous about my first tank cleaning, but this vacuum made my tank sparkle! I disagreed with other reviews that say the parts are cheaply made, or it doesnât clean gravel good.The parts are made out of exactly what they need to be to get the job done and to get the cost at a good point. I have zero qualms with the construction.My tank is 29 gallons and after dropping an algae tab to feed my snail at the recommendation of the pet store owner, EVERYTHING was covered in algae. This vacuum was amazing and the process was cathartic.For the one saying that the gravel tube isnât long enough I think there is a finesse to how to work it. I would hover over the gravel and watch the poop flow up the tube. I think if youâre having trouble with the gravel filling up the tube, youâre trying to do too much at once, because waste canât flow through gravel..I quickly learned how to gauge just the right amount of suction to get the waste out of the gravel and I was very happy with the results!A must buy! If youâre on the fence, I would say go for it. I was extremely anxious about how this was going to perform and how laborious it was going to be but in the end I canât wait until the next cleaning and I love the way my tank looks!

Didnt last long
Genuinely didn’t last long, maybe only lasted a month before it stopped working.At first I was super impressed and happy with my purchase but all of a sudden it completely stopped working in the middle of a water change.. I tried re-cleaning it, using a different spot to plug it in, and disconnected and reconnected the power supply. Its super upsetting.The hose that connected to the device for draining water always kept popping off the device. I tried a ziptie and at the time it seemed to solve the issue.Honestly just better off using a traditional siphon.

Works well but not great
Its good but wish it had a little more filtration and also should inlcude more than 1 of those filter bags. No idea where to get a replacement filter bag. Its also relatively big and cumbersome. I only use it when I need to clean up but don’t want an actual water change.

It works amazingly!
This is the best aquarium vacuum I have ever owned! It has a nice strong suction and does a great job at sucking everything up! If I could, I would rate it 10 stars! I highly recommend this one! I use it for cleaning my little indoor turtle pond.

Needs a little getting used to
This thing is really really useful when it comes to doing water changes and I also use it daily in my goldfish grow out tanks because of how much they poop. The suction / pushing power is great, I was able to hook it up to another hose that led straight to a drain so I don’t need to move any buckets.Issues I’ve had:- If you get sand in this it struggles to function until you deep clean it out so always use the sand wand attachment when dealing with sand- Cleaning the sand wand attachment is its own thing, I cant really see a way to get the sponge out from it so I can never get that fully cleaned and after about 3 weeks of use I need to spray it out after every use which doesn’t get everything out. I’m still hoping there’s a way to get it out and I just haven’t figured it out.- If you turn it on while the suction part is facing downward the magnet inside may not align properly and wont start suctioning till you turn it off then face it upward, re-align the magnet then turn it back on.- Suction will stop once the pump part of the tool is out of the water which isn’t ideal for shallow tanks.With all this in mind this is still leagues better than doing this manually especially considering I do water changes daily and sand vac multiple times a day I cant imagine doing this without the tool.

Works good
The pump cleaner works wonders. It does its job. Only downside is that the gravel cleaner is just one part. Making it hard to clean the filter that is inside as well as to take any bits larger particles. But besides that. I can finally clean the gravel without worrying about emptying the tank constantly.

i like that i can plug it into a normal 120V socket and it sucks up the dirt from the substrait, i have a Undergravel filter in the main tank so it doesnt get really dirty in the substrait this does help get into those areas that dont get attention and i can get inbetween my live plants without to much disruption. i use it to extract the dirty water durring a cleaning into a jerrycan with out to much issue.

Me sorprendió la potencia que tiene este aparato sin duda volverÃa a comprar otro cuando esté deje de funcionar, que yo dirÃa que va ha tardar bastante tiempo, llevo más de 6 meses con el, lo uso para dar mantenimiento y mantener el agua circulando en una pecera de 140 lts, la verdad no uso todos los complementos pero si los llegue a probar, el único inconveniente es la pequeña bolsa (filtro) se tapa muy rápido fuera de eso todo bien.

Everything is good about this purchase. Strong motor, multi functions. I tried changing water, cleaning algae and sucking dirt and faeces. Does good job for the first time. The only disadvantage is the plastic stick – good length but not solid. Prone to break if you do it hard. Perhaps they should change it to a thicker one.
