Lightbulbs for indoor birds and reptiles
These are good for house birds too. I have been using these for 25 years. Good quality and long life product.

Brought her colors out !
Got this light because it looks cold white, it does lean a smidge toward natural light which is my ideal combination. The super-arctic lavender hognose in her temporary enclosure even at a distance from the bulb, has her colors highlighted perfectly. As I am sure it would for others’ reptiles as well. I don’t feel prominent heat coming from this bulb when I wave my hand beneath it, and still need the other thermal bulb.

UVB bulb, 13w compact
I use UVB bulbs for my corn snake and they need to be replaced regularly. This type is convenient for allowing the UVB zone to overlap his basking lamp area as well, I can simply put the two fixtures next to each other.

For my tegu.
I have an adult tegu. I am constantly needing UV bulbs for routine bulb changes and for the occasional burn out. Price is typical for a single bulb.

One of my favorites
I’ve bought Hygger bulbs in the past. I have a Madagascar giant day gecko my son bequeathed me years ago when he moved out on his own. This lizard has lived years past his normal lifespan thanks to having the right conditions. If there are any reptile newbies reading this, the correct spectrum of light is important. This is a 5.0 bulb. It’s 13 watts, which is all small tanks need. The 5.0 spectrum is used for tropical animals. The 10.0 is used for desert animals. The construction of these seems to be similar no matter what company makes them, so my guess is that they all come from the same factory. One minor drawback is that you need to change this bulb at least once a year even if it hasn’t burned out, since it loses its effectiveness eventually. The picture shows the bulb and the cardboard protector as it came out of the main sturdy box. It’s packed so it doesn’t break, and includes a user manual.
