Easy..
Easy set up, easy to use, excellent picture quality. The Eye 4 app is decent, but could have more updates. Eye 4 could also do some maintenance and housekeeping on their app. Some cameras have excellent controls, while more sophisticated/complicated cameras from this manufacturer are difficult to understand the controls and do not have full control. Full control meaning the operation of two cameras at once on the double camera models. Iâve been using this brand for over 10 years. I like them, first the battery supply will go in a few years, which is replaceable on Amazon. Then the camera itself will die and may have sound, Video, or no PTZ. I like these cameras. Iâve access them from everywhere in the world that Iâve had Internet access. Vstar and Eye 4 donât work well with other Chinese manufacturers such as zben.

Great Indoor Camera for Monitoring Pets
This camera requires a third party app in order to use. That’s not a big deal for me but might be for other people. I found the installation super easy and really enjoy being able to check in on my cats during the day while I’m at the office. I like that I can also talk to them through the camera and hear them as well. There’s a motion detection notifications, so I know when they’ll be in the frame or nearby so I can look for them with how much the camera pivots. I like the laser option so you can play and interact with the cats while you’re away from home. I did have to deduct a star though because I think the laser turns on automatically when you open the app, which does make me worried that it could shine in my cats eyes.

Love the 360 view, but laser turns on automatically – dangerous
This camera has good night vision and good range of motion – it can turn to see pretty much everywhere except right below itself. My previous pet cam basically just has intercom, screenshot/record, and motion detection. There are a LOT more fancy features in this app:- Motion detection- Play with a laser pointer: you can control this manually or set it to one of several automatic patterns: rotate, up and down, or left to right- Human framing: people are automatically framed (it moves to keep them in view)- Human tracking: âthe camera will track peopleâs movements in real timeâ (honestly not sure how this is different from human framing?)- Activity zone: not sure what this is- PTZ: not sure what this stands for but it lets you set the camera on cruise control to have it rotate constantly.- Pre Set: I *thought* this was for setting a fixed position for it to look at, so you can click a button instead of manually pressing the direction buttons to get to a specific spot. But when you try to use this, it asks for photo permission. Maybe itâs supposed to be for setting up facial recognition of familiar people that it wonât alert you aboutâ¦? I didnât know why it would need access to all my photos so I didnât allow that.A few small annoyances: The laser pointer often turns itself on when you open the app. My partner thinks this is dangerous because if it shone in our catsâ eyes (which is very plausible since we leave the camera pointing at the spots where they like to hang out) it could damage their vision. Also, the app is very slow to start up – thereâs a screen that shows the companyâs logo for four seconds (though you can skip) and then a screen thatâs sort of a false start – looks like a tutorial video but if you wait like two seconds then your actual video feed shows up instead. So it takes like 6 seconds to open the app. Lastly, during setup, there was a horrible robot voice that kept repeating âplease connect to wifiâ or something like that, and it repeated like every five seconds for several minutes while I was trying to get the wifi to work. This was an offputting initial experience that made me think âis this just going to be a piece of junk from China?â Iâve now had it for several months and itâs held up just fine, so I donât think itâs junk. And maybe these three issues wonât be very bothersome to other people. But for the price point, I expect a really good user experience with the kinks worked out already, you know?

GREAT QUALITY !!!
This indoor pet cam has given me such peace of mind! I love being able to check in on my furry friends while I’m away from home. The phone app is super easy to use and gives me a clear view of what they’re up to, even when I’m miles away. The picture quality is excellent, and the IR night vision means I can see them even when it’s dark.I’m really impressed with the motion detection feature. It sends me alerts whenever there’s activity, so I can make sure everything is okay. And the two-way audio is fantastic! I can talk to my pets and even hear them bark or meow back. It’s like having a virtual babysitter for my pets! The personalized surveillance times are a great touch. I can set the camera to only record during specific hours, which saves storage space and gives me the flexibility I need.Overall, I’m incredibly happy with this pet cam. It’s easy to use, has all the features I need, and gives me the peace of mind I was looking for. If you’re a pet owner who wants to keep an eye on your furry friends while you’re away, I highly recommend this camera!

Catcam with laser pointer
Easy enough to set up, instructions were short, sweet, to the point. Requires a 3rd party app that is in the Play store. Storage is extra with a few options including a 30-day save per video for a year at 50 (the option I chose as it gives me enough time to download the videos to DVD storage). It has the ability to tune in live, which I like because I can tune in and talk to the cats. This also gives control of the camera and laser pointer, so you can play with the cat by turning left/right and up/down. The audio is pretty good. It can also be set to record motion activation which is great for overnight.

Great to check in on the pets when I’m at work
I’ve been working from home for years, and with the return-to-work initiative in place I’m now hybrid. I was very worried about my 2 cats and 1 dog being alone given that I’ve always just been around all day long. Not only do I get to make sure they’re not getting out of control, but I can also interact with them. It gives me peace-of-mind and helps break up the days at the office and gives me a connection back to my home whenever I feel the need.
