Front Buckle Design
I ordered the Weatherbeeta Comfitec Plus Dynamic High Neck heavy weight blanket on October 14, 2018. Yesterday, February 1, 2019, in less than four months, the front buckle broke. Very disappointing. These buckles are cheaply made and it is not unusual that eventually a buckle will snap. What is more disappointing and frustrating is that Weatherbeeta, a well known and generally good brand, has not figured out a way to design the front straps so they can be undone, like a belt, so that the buckle can be replaced. Instead, the straps are sewn in and when the buckle breaks there is no way to properly fix it. Although the blanket is a good blanket, in the future, I will be looking at other Brands blankets that have a strap that can be undone to replace those buckles. For now, Iâm using an unsightly double clasp to hold the front of the blanket together. Not sure if I can return the blanket, but it is such a hassle to do so. Very disappointed in Weatherbeeta.
