Customers say

Customers find the concept of the treat cool and a good way to introduce fruit to birds. They are satisfied with the appearance. Opinions vary on whether birds eat the product.

It’s kind of tricky (read for tips and theories)
I have a cockatiel, one that is not particularly bonded with the family (he was given to us by another family years ago and he only really has a loose bond with my son).
The cockatiel loves millet sprays and those honey seed clusters but we wanted to try to get something more in his diet – like fruit.
We thought the fruit sticks were a great idea. Admittedly they were very small, smaller than expected. And the fruit, especially the cranberries, fall off pretty easily.
The first time we put it in the cage, he avoided that part of the cage where it was. We left it in there for about a week and a half before he felt comfortable exploring it. My guess is that the colors and shapes of the treat turn him off from it… after all, his previous treats were seed based for more than 5 years. So fruit treats must look pretty alien to him.
Once he realized it was edible, he would peck at it once in a while, some fruits he seems to favor more than others as he would pluck them off the stick. Although the stick is chewable and edible, he does not seem interested in the stick and only goes for the fruit pieces.
So many times we have found a bare stick in the cage with some fruit thrown in the bottom and some fruit missing (assumed eaten).
Anyways, it’s tricky to get your bird interested in the treat, especially if he’s used to having seeds as a treat most of his life. I heard that birds don’t really have a sense of smell, so our cockatiel probably could not tell if it was food or a toy or what based off of the LOOKS of the treat.
The reality is, we could have dried the fruit ourselves and fed it to him. I am giving this 3 stars because I feel it is a good way to introduce the idea of fruit to your bird. But not 5 stars because it is small, pricey, takes a while for the bird to be interested, and the edible stick is pretty much ignored.

    My birds hate them
My birds won’t even go near these. The sticks are tiny as well as the fruit they put on it. Waste of money.

    Maybe not for parakeets?
My three parakeet won’t touch these. I’m not sure if maybe these aren’t for parakeets? They are super cute, but my birds didn’t touch them. Maybe they’re for bigger birds? due to that, I’ll give them four stars

    Nice treat
This is a nice treat and is a cool concept to make the whole thing edible. The birds like it.

    Birds wont eat.
My cockatiel’s and parakeets will not eat this. Maybe it’s for larger birds?
