My 10th WYZE Cam
I have 10 mixed WYZE cams setup in various locations (including remote locations) and simply love these for their simplicity, picture quality on all models (1080 up to 4K) and the app which has no security permissions that can be concerning like a lot of other manufactures. I’ve tried a bunch of other camera models but returned due to very unsettling requirements when setting up their apps. The options WYZE provides in their app are very easy to navigate and adjust for your needs. I’ve also sprung for the extra web service so I can watch all my feeds at once on my big monitor. All of the products WYZE makes are top notch and their customer service is very responsive. Prices are also very reasonable with sales often. If you are in the market for a wireless camera, give WYZE a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Happy to see the low price back but…
I have many many of the Wyze cameras and other products. Keep in mind I don’t use Cam Plus for this or most cameras. I do use it for some. Also I have Feit, NEST and Simplisafe Cameras as well. Wyze by far has the most features & quality for the cost. The cameras are used on a Google Nest Mesh system too,Ok First things first. The low price of Wyze is back, but what do you get for the OG price? We cannot expect it all to be the same as in the past. So to start, the hardware is a little different. Add in the waterproof housing a Plus, the spotlight a Plus and overall look is good. The mounting I need to think about. It is ok and allows for better wall mounts, but I was a fan of the magnet and there is no magnet in the OG. So In the included photo I have used some 3M tape. Overall I would give the hardware 4.8 stars.Software & Setup. Setup, piece of cake. No more QR to scan. Just plug in the camera and it announces ‘ready to connect’. I opened the wyze app, select add the OG camera, select the wifi network and password, and within seconds we are up and running. I do feel the motion detection is way better than even the v3. See the image in the review. The OG consistently detects more than the v3. When motion or sound is detected, we get a image clip, not a video segment like the older models, so this is a little disappointing. I can go Live or ‘jump to SD’ which is a nice feature and that shows the video then you can record a clip. This actually might be better than the original method as you can determine the clip length then. I just need to get use to it. Software goes for 4.5 stars.Image quality. 1080 actually works quite well in my situation. If you have a view that is further than 10-15ft then you might want to go for the Zoom OG or a V3 camera. The photo included in the review is with the OG on top and the V3 on the bottom. If I zoom into the A sign on the OG (vs the V3) you can tell the difference. Colors overall seem to be pretty good. I think the image quality is 4.5 stars.Overall I think this is a great camera at a value price some great features that are NOT included with other brands. I have Feit, but probably wouldn’t buy that brand again.

Great quality even better price
I’ve replaced all my cameras with these. They work so well. Great quality video and sound and great night vision. The only reason I won’t give them 5 stars is because they don’t work well with google home. It’s like you’re forced to use their app and it takes forever to bring up the cameras from your cell phone.

Great Security Camera
I purchased these to go with the previous cameras I purchased. Expanding my own personal security setup, the picture quality is amazing, with two modes of night vision, even with the basic app features you get immediate notifications, they are weather proof or weather resistant with the ability to record straight to SD card or to their cloud service which is what I prefer.

These work great when they work, just remember to…
I waited a while to write this review because, while these cameras and the phone app were great when they worked, the whole system would go offline inexplicably usually after two or three days. None of the fixes mentioned on the Wyze website or in forums helped. Apparently, lots of people have the same problem. Needing to restart the hotspot every few days to get things running again shouldn’t be necessary. This was super exasperating, and I was in the process of rigging up a contraption to automatically restart the hotspot every day (just a timer won’t do, it needs a manual button press too). Then, on my own, I discovered what I think is the fix. In your phone (Android), go to Settings, Apps, Wyze. Open Storage and Cache, and then Clear the Cache. I check my system a few times per day and clear the cache at least once a day. Since doing this, the system hasn’t failed – it’s been a few weeks now…knock on wood. Apparently, just like on a computer, everything can slow down and come to a grinding halt if cache gets too full, and I guess if this happens with Wyze it triggers a timeout and knocks the system off the network. Wyze needs to let people know about this. Other than that, another minor complaint is that the camera view sometimes says it’s “Live” when it’s not. Sometimes you need to refresh the camera view to get it to actually go live. Also, once in a while, recorded video can’t be retrieved from the network. Not sure what’s up with that, network is strong and stable…maybe something at Wyze’s end. All in all, while there is room for improvement, the system is very easy to set up and works well now.

Son muy buenas cámaras, el ángulo es muy amplio y tiene una imagen muy limpia, la aplicación es muy sencilla pero práctica, el único punto negativo pero corregible es el guardado de videos en la SD, use 2 diferentes adata y jamas las leyó y cuendo compré las de su marca funcionaron sim problema.
