Great cam before, excellent cam now!
v4 Hands down the best Wyze camera to date! Everything is better. Had camera running in under 1 minute! Crazy easy fast. Theyâve automated everything. Just plugged it in and only required a couple clicks. Only had to confirm WiFi network, approve adding to cam+ account and assign/skip adding cam to a group. Most of the 55 seconds setup was the cam connecting to WIFI. (Note: Adding cam to existing network was much easier/quicker than before. Initial setup will take longer for first time Wyze cam users)Image clarity on v3 wasnât bad, but incredibly clear now, including low light. Ive noticed in some v3 models, the cmos sensor is too sensitive and sometimes creates white patches in bright (but normal) lighting . Problem no more. Clear images even under variable lighting scenarios. In addition to improved cam functionality, the UI has been overhauled and has a ton of enhancements.Some new functions I didnât even know I needed. Too many to mention but largely related to completing actions with merely a swipe. The new screen layout is more intuitive with action icons available at top level without have to click into submenus. Split screen has finally been added allowing you to watch a cam feed while navigating to other pages. Sound quality and clarity is also improved. The cam appears to made from a different material with a matte finish. The look is improved and Iâm hoping durability remains good. There are many more enhancements, only named a few. The people who ensured focus group feedback was implemented to such a high degree should get bonuses!For $30 itâs really worth it. My current mostly v3 camera array is working well, but the v4 is so superior I plan to swap out the most important cameras.

Wow night vision is so clear!
The night vision is better than my Google Home camera. I can’t believe this camera was so cheap considering the great quality. The functionality and features are so easy to navigate, not too much of a learning curve. Set up was a breeze. The Wi-Fi connectivity worked seamlessly and when I’m out and about during the day I have no problems checking in to my phone to see the camera at home, so the range is great. It records everything in the events section, very easy to navigate. It’s about 2 seconds in lag time when viewing in real time but that’s not really a big deal. I have it set up in my kitchen window pointing to the backyard (picture is with night vision) and there is no glare from the window. It looks like the camera is outdoors. I like the little green square that follows an animal or person in my backyard. Great pickup on detection. My phone alerts me when anyone is seen on my backyard. The camera also says, “you are being recorded” when it detects movement in the backyard. It can be turned off but I like it. It also has a spot light that turns on when detection is seen(I have it off) but it would be great if I had it outdoors. I would need to get a different cord if I had it outdoors but I’ll probably do that if I move. I was going to get an SD card but decided to just do the $2.99 a month plan to keep the recordings. It’s so cheap and totally worth it!

After my first purchase, I was so impressed that I ended up buying multiple for different areas of my home. The video resolution is sharp, and the motion detection works reliably. Spotlight is very annoying but decent overall
Wyze camera v4.. It is a significant improvement over the v3 in every way basically. The resolution is high quality, has a built in microphone this time, and a slightly smaller (albeit still large) body. The mounting system is pretty good, it has an adhesive magnet you stick to the wall and the base of the camera is magnetic.Things I didnt like: the spotlight is annoying. There is no way of disabling it. This problem is enough to render the camera worthless in my eyes. You can turn the spotlight off only by making it not sense motion, however it always seemed to turn itself back on just a few minutes later.Wyze cameras have really taken a back seat to some of these new companies hitting the market like Eufy. I would highly recommend you do your research. Still, at this price point, it is a decent enough camera given its flaws.

Wyse v4 is a stunning camera!
What a GREAT little camera! I already own an older v3 version that I use in my garage to check that the garage door is closed, and it’s good enough for that. I just purchased this newer v4 2.5K version and it arrived today. I just set it up in our living room. WOW WOW WOW! Incredible high-rez picture! We plan to use it to keep an eye on things when we go out of town in a few weeks. I like that you can turn off the camera right from inside the app (don’t want it spying on us when we’re home). It also has a little spotlight if you need it, remotely accessible from the app. Since I already have a Wyze camera in the garage, I already have the app and a Wyze account. The setup was so easy. Plugged it in and it started talking to me. Went to the app and clicked the “+” to add a new device. So easy. I also got an SD card so that it can record right to it without having to purchase cloud storage from Wyze. I think I may get another one to monitor our backyard. In fact, for the price I may replace my garage one v3 with a new v4. The 2.5K video quality is stunning. It also supports the wi-fi 6. It also supports Alexa so I can see the video feed on the Alexa Show. Can’t say enough about this device Highly recommend it.

Much improved clarity compared to previous and the spotlight not only provides light but as it is motion sensitive it acts as a deterrent.Clearly recorded an intruder at 4am and aided in his apprehension.
