Very secure!
These work great. I do have a hard time getting them off but it’s worth it for how securely they hold the lid on. We are using them on our mouse cage so the cats can’t open the lid and the peace of mind is awesome!

Perfect for my gerbilarium!
I got these after finding out my young child could open the 55 gallon aquarium my gerbils live in, and sneak them extra food. The large size is perfect. Four clips (one in the middle of each side) pop right on and keep the lid snug and tight so that none of my children can open the lid without my assistance. These are also convenient because they easily snap right off for an adult, so I can feed, do cage cleaning, and other gerbil maintenance tasks without having to worry about any escapes or any unwanted “gifts” from little hands.

Will not fit all screen covers or tanks
The nice thing about these is that although they are made of heavy-weight metal, you can still bend them to a degree. I had to adjust these to work with my tank screen cover. On one side, the clip works well, fits perfectly. But, because the screen cover is just a teensy bit longer than the top of the tank on one end, the other clip doesn’t quite catch the edge of the tank. This is mainly due to the poor fit of the screen cover, but I thought it bore mentioning. Overall I’m happy with these, I only need 2 of them to keep the screen cover in place, but I may buy another two just to make the screen cover more secure. If you have a small tank, 10 gallons or smaller, you may only need 2 clips. For larger tanks, I recommend buying 4.

Works Great to Secure a Tank Cage Topper
I will admit, the first time the package came, the clips were damaged, but they replaced them right away. I needed replacement clips to attatch a tank topper cage to my hamster’s tank. (I accidentally threw away the original clips that came with the tank topper.) I could not find anything to replace the clips. I was worried that she may hurt herself, if she tried to get out by squeezing between the tank and top cage. I was skepticle, but hopeful these clips would work, even though they were not meant to be used to hold the cage topper in place but to keep a cage lid secure. The cost of the clips were worth a try. It took a few tries to bend them at just the right angle and resistance (about 5 minutes), but it worked and continues to work without needing readjustment; snaps in and out of the tank edge easily. We remove the cage topper daily for spot cleaning; it’s been several months and these clips continue to do the job well. They were a great alternative, they are very strong, the price was excellent, and most of all, our Butterscotch is a happy, healthy, and safe hamster. ☺

These are absolutely fantastic. Ive lost 1 snake never to be found so the piece of mind that comes with knowing my tanks are escape proof is invaluable. They can be bent bigger or smaller and ive successfully used them on 20, 30, and 50 gallon tanks. They will fit most standard terrariums. If you bend them just a bit small they fit snugly, and if your tank is bigger you just put more. I put about 6 for the smaller tanks, but they’re pretty unobtrusive, and yeah, my lid wont budge!

Brilliant! I picked up a second hand 10gallon terrarium for my new baby kingsnake but the lid wasn’t very secure. These clips keep the lid on rock solid & will prevent any escapes. These were the final touch to prep for my new baby’s arrival & I’m very pleased.
