Excellent tank topper!
This is the only 5-star review I’ve ever written for something I unfortunately wasn’t able to keep and had to return. I had to buy a new tank for my turtle when his old one sprung a leak and my attempts to reseal it weren’t successful. I had to go to a different-shaped tank and wound up with a 36×18. Since it was shorter than our previous one, I was afraid our cat just might be brave (or stupid) enough to try to jump in the tank, so I wanted a cover to keep him from falling in should he try.This cover is just fantastic!! It’s super sturdy, sturdy enough I’m sure if our cat landed on it, he wouldn’t fall in. It is extremely well made with a perfect size mesh pattern, not too large to allow in little flying insects and not too small to allow in light, heat and UVA/UVB light from his lamps. And it looks great to boot and fits securely on the tank.The reason I can’t keep it is because I have light fixtures that attach to the tank sides in such a way that don’t allow for a tank cover. After ordering this, I thought I’d be able to find new light fixtures that would allow me to use the cover, but I couldn’t find anything that would work with my setup (and that didn’t say they catch fire). So the only solution was to keep the lights, ditch the cover and move the tank far enough away from where the cat could reach.I so wish I could have kept this cover, but if, unlike mine, it will work for your setup, I couldn’t recommend it more.

I was so happy to find a cover the correct size to fit an extra 20 gallon tank that I have. This is a very durable cover, it can withstand a lot of weight, it’s easy to clean. This cover definitely serves its function of keeping an animal enclosure safe and secure. Definitely worth the money.

Fits my thick rimmed tank perfectly!
I have an older aquarium that was handmade by a guy who ran a fish shop back in the day. It is ridiculously heavy and a unconventional size, with thick metal and wooden panels lining the edges, so I was having trouble finding a lid topper for it. This lid fits over it perfectly! I was so surprised, only downside is that if I run the cable out and under the corner of the lid, it no longer sits flat & flush unless I press it down on the cable (which I don’t want to do, as to not risk crimping/pinch wires). However, like I said my tank isn’t zilla branded, so if yours is, I bet it will not have this issue for you.
