Excellent screen cover
Some of the reviews featured folks who received theirs damaged, which made me a little nervous–however the screen cover I received was in very good condition. No holes in the top and while very slightly bent in a couple places, nothing is too noticeable and it still functions just fine. Hinges work and are intact, so far so good. Purchased it for use on my 55 gal 48 x 13 bearded dragon tank, it fit around the top like a glove. A great value for the money! The one complaint I have was that it was placed alone and unfolded in the box with no padding of any kind, so any rough treatment could have caused damage to the item.

I almost didnât order this because of the reviews but decided to because of Amazonâs return policy. Persephoneâs tank top arrived in good shape. It fits well & is easy to open. Iâm very glad I ordered it!

Excellent cover for reptile tank
I ordered this screen cover for my bearded dragon’s 55 gallon tank. It fits perfectly and looks good. It’s metal so I can sit his heating lamp right on the cover and don’t have to worry about it melting or otherwise getting damaged. Plus now I don’t have to worry about any of my cats getting in the tank.
It arrived in perfect condition, however, I was a little worried that it may have been damaged in shipping due to the box being damaged. I think that they should definitely consider some packing material inside the box to prevent that from happening.
The cover has the ability to be clamped/locked down if you purchase the clamps separately, but since I don’t have kids in the house I didn’t get them so I can’t speak to how well that feature works.
If you need a cover for your reptile’s tank I’d highly recommend this one. It’s inexpensive and with the grates on top it allows for airflow and the UVA/UVB lighting to get through, unlike a glass or plastic cover. It’s also surprisingly sturdy considering how light it is.

Works like it should
Iâve had this cover for a couple of months now, and boy am I glad I bought it! The hinged cover makes tending to my 29 gal paludarium super simple. The cover fits well, but not super tightly, if thatâs a feature you need. The span makes the cover a little flexible in the middle, but it holds the light fixture, the acrylic covers I made to keep in humidity, and an air plant on a piece of driftwood without issue.

Had a non hinged mesh top and changing to the hinged one is so much nicer when you don’t have front doors on terrarium. Great deal and fast shipping

Great Lid
A lot of people do not like this style of lid. You can only open half of it at a time. Of course, if you wanted to, you could just remove the lid like you would a non-folding lid. I think it’s great. I use it on a snake. I’m always worried that my snake will get out of the other side of the cage while I’m trying to grab her, so it’s nice to have some extra security. It also secures well to the tank using regular metal clips. You can leave one half secured all the time so you don’t have to fuss with it.
I had to order this lid on Amazon because a lot of pet suppliers did not have this type. I was warned that the hinges break down over time, but I haven’t seen any sign of weakness. Even if the hinges broke, the lid would be stable enough with locking clips (which if you have a screen lid, you’ll need any way for your rodents and reptiles)
This lid shipped quickly and was received in a comically large box. That said, it was in perfect condition when it arrived. This lid meets expectations and if I ever need another, I’ll come right to Amazon.

I’ve had this product for nearly a month now and am finally getting around to reviewing. It fit my 55 gallon aquarium perfectly, I have axolotls so I’ve got my arm in to my elbow a couple times a day and being able to open it halfway lengthwise is a HUGELY awesome feature! it works great, is sturdy enough for my needs (I keep no equipment on top of the cover) The only feature I feel this is missing a ‘knock out’ so you can run air tubing/power cords through if desired. I have not yet modified so the back side of my screen is kind of lifted up over all my tubing & cords until I do.
UPDATE: Just ordered a 2nd screen for my new 48 gallon aquarium (same footprint as a 55 but a couple inches shorter) as I liked it so much working great! I have cats and they have tried walking on top and it’s stayed nice and sturdy over the past several months

I have this on an aquarium to help stop fish from from jumping out. The cover is excellent, I just wish it optional had cut outs for my filter in/out lines and airlines.
