Good Quality Substrate
Easy to clean and use; its basically just a sheet of felt. We like to keep one in the tank, and one on hand for when we clean up in there, so we can just swap right away rather than have to clean it and wait for it to dry before replacing it. It’s a bit large for our 40 gallon tank, but it can be easily trimmed to size or folded under. Pic attached showing our bearded dragon Fireball, and the product below him.We used to use a gravelly, desert-looking substrate, and while the look was really cool, it was difficult to clean because of the uneven, rocky surface. Also we would hose it off in our tub, and rocks/debris would be all over the place when we were done. No such issues with this. Does it look as cool? No. But you must accept the good with the bad, I suppose. 🙂

Itâs a good substrate
This works perfectly for my daughter two year old hybrid orange bearded dragon. Crickets,Dubai and hornworms canât get under the carpet if they escape the bowl.Itâs easy to clean with a garden hose or spray it down in the shower. Dries pretty quick and donât seem to hold odors. If you donât trim your herps nails they may snag on the fibers. Once I âtippedâ the nails with a little nail scissor, the beardie doesnât get his nails caught.Itâs a lot easier and healthier than calcium sand or bark

Convenient & Sanitary
This substrate liner has been very convenient. I am new to owning a reptile and after much research, I found that most people agree that a substrate liner is the safest option for a baby leopard gecko. Apparently, whatever loose substrate is placed in the terrarium will end up in their mouths and cannot always pass through safely. This particular liner stood out to me due to its price point but I am happy to say that the quality is there as well.I chose the brown color since my terrarium is more of a rocky desert scene. I have a 10 gallon tank and I found the 10 gallon liner fit perfectly without needing adjustment. I just unrolled it and put it right in. The ends do curl a bit at first but straighten out fairly quickly. I have not had any issues with my gecko getting stuck to this liner. I have removed it once so far for cleaning. It was a little strange to clean a piece of scratchy felt and I had to rinse for a while. However, when I was done, the mat dried very quickly and looked as good as new. I am quite happy about that.In fact, I have such a favorable impression of this product that I have already purchased a second one of these so that I can place in a clean one immediately when I take a dirty one out to wash. I think I will continue using this product even as my gecko gets older since it is so convenient. Its also more sanitary than traditional substrate I think. There are less places for germs to be and also, it is easier to see when the substrate needs changed. As a bonus, it also gives insects less hiding places.

Works Well for Leopard Gecko
I had purchased this for my smaller leopard gecko cage. My leopard gecko is a bit older and has been used to the reptile sand in the cage, so I was worried that he would become frightened by this different texture. Although my gecko has never had any health issues related to the sand, I wanted to replicate a more authentic environment for him because leopard geckos naturally live in a more rocky area and not sandy. After replacing a third of the cage with this product, then two/thirds, I saw that my gecko didn’t have a bad reaction at all. In fact, it seems that he likes sunbathing on this more. After a few months, I haven’t witnessed his claws getting stuck in this. However, I find that placing mealworms on this product makes it a little bit difficult for the gecko to bite it because their teeth can get a bit stuck -but this rarely occurs since I mainly use a feeding dish.Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. It is great for making a more authentic environment for my pet and eliminates some of the dangers that other substrates might have. Also, it is easier to clean.

Great for my leo tank
These work great. No having to deal with dusty sand or other messy substrates. Which are not recommended anyways for a leo gecko. I bought 2 ..to make it easier where when I pull one out to wash I can just throw in the 2nd one in right away..instead of having to wait for the first one to dry…so I would recommend you do the same…but luckily I don’t have to deal with swapping out often though bc my leo uses the potty inside of the water bowl area that’s built into her cold rock. So I only ever have to clean that out. But if you have a messy potty time leo these would be a breeze to pull out and swap out with a 2nd one. And amazon has them priced the best compared to anywhere else ive seen them. The green colored ones are easy to find. But brown not so much. So thanks amazon for having the browns at a great price!

Easy to use
This Zilla Reptile Terrarium Liner is super easy to take care of. It’s easy to clean – just spray it down and let it dry. And it dries in no time. It’s durable, and it holds up very well. The price is reasonable enough that we have 2, so we can switch them out when the terrarium is cleaned. That way, a clean one goes back in while the used one is being cleaned and drying. I’d recommend it.

Solid Product
I love this reptile carpet. Particularly for my snakes and leopard gecko, this substrate really does seem to work the best and make for the easiest clean up. I’ve tried aspen, sand, pellets, tile, the whole gamut, and this does win out as my favorite substrate and I think my reptile’s favorite as well. For bearded dragons this is probably not practical (they’re too messy) – I use Zilla pellets for them. I also don’t use this for my water dragon in favor of a substrate that holds humidity better but that’s my personal choice. Highly recommend buying two of these for each enclosure you plan on using this in and switching them out after sanitizing them. That’s the best and easiest system I’ve worked out. They hold up well to hand washing.

Works great and look good. I’m happy this one is brown, those green liner look kinda bad. The size is great too, I can cut it in half and have a second one in case something happen.

I am extremely content with my purchase mainly because I bought it at a ridiculously low price. I got the 50 gallon in brown for less than $12! What a steal! Now I have so much of it that I can chop it up into multiple pieces small enough for my 10 gallon… I just bought a baby Mexican Black Kingsnake and this substrate is perfect for her. It makes cleaning her home so easy. You just swap out the used for the new and then wash off the used one to be used again. Basically I will do that for a bunch of rounds until I need to toss the used substrate out for reaching the end of its life. Then, I grab another new cutting of the 50 gallon and swap it in for the old substrate that was tossed. Iâll do this again and again. Iâm not sure how long Iâll be using each cut of substrate – I havenât determined a time. Iâm going to leave that up to my snake, because it really matters how often she uses it and how much it is able to be cleaned. Anyways, like I said, Iâm very happy with my purchase, not only because this substrate is the most snake and human companion friendly for its ease of use, but also because I lucked out with the price.
