Clips Prevent Trouser Snake From Escaping
These clips were tight on my 55 gal aquarium, and they worked well. Although they’re not as tight as your mom, I still have peace of mind knowing that my big trouser snake cannot raise the top of its habitat.

Quick and easy
Works very well for our ball python in a 75 gallon tank. Easy to put on and take off.

Easier than you think…
Anyone in the reptile/exotic hobby knows that one pair of clamps is NOT enough to secure a screen top. You will need at least two 2-packs of these. Installation is easy if you know where to place your leverage: directly on the right angle at the top of the clip as you slide the catch under the screen border. I’ve installed dozens of these and they do need some strong-arming, but fit the Zilla (and other brand) screen tops perfectly. The first time I installed clips like these, years ago, it took me a while to figure out how to get the top catch on. There are instructions on the packaging, but there’s no advice on what angle or where to apply pressure. It probably took me 5 minutes to figure it out. Now, it takes less than 3 seconds for me to put a clip on.

Not the best fitment on a zilla fresh air screen top
Not the best fitment on a zilla fresh air screen top. Kind of hokey, but what do you expect for a couple dollars

These would be great if they fit…
You would think that a company would be able to make clips that actually work with their product…The package has a nice little picture of how to install these, but they simply don’t fit together in the way pictured. I’m sure I could force a fit using pliers, but that wasn’t really what I was going for when I ordered these clips. Buy with caution is all I’m saying.

Clips work, but not attractive
I thought I would post a photo to show how the clips are installed because it would’ve helped me save some time if I had seen a photo. I’m using four of these to hold down a homemade screen to a 125 gallon tank (for turtles). Pros: They work to keep the screen in place, one-piece all metal construction, and inexpensive. Cons: A bit difficult to remove and install (I slip the bottom flange under the enclosure frame, I pull the top flange out and over the top of the tank and clip it on to the screen- see photo), you have to be careful using the clip because you could easily scratch the frames of the tank and the screen (the metal edges are sharp), the clips rust, and they really don’t look great (they stick out visually and physically). Overall, I’m happy with these clips because they hold the screen in place and that’s why I got them. Recommended.

Get what you see and they work great at holding all my smaller snakes in (I haven’t tried with any of the larger).

Usually Flimsy and Ineffective
These don’t work on some tank designs. On one of my tanks they hold fairly tight, but on 3 other tanks they are practically useless. I would recommend purchasing the small size even if you have a large tank, because the large size are just too loose and don’t lock the lid down firmly. These are flexible so the smaller sizes should be able to fit on most tanks.Still, 9/10 times these do not work well at all. The only reason I repurchased was because I got them as an add-on item for less than $3.I use bungee cords wrapped around the tank with the ends hooked together, and that provides an extremely tight fit for the lid on the tank

They were good quality, but they were a bit of a pain to use. Kept the snakes in, though.

Not what I expected them to be. Not a fan
