Great food for agama
My agama doesn’t really eat a lot of canned foods but loves these silk worms. She will chomp on them as soon as she sees them. Great for when there is a dubia shortage.

Old bearded dragon loves these!
So my 9 year old bearded dragon stop wanting to eat and I have been hand feeding him for over a year. He got tired of Dubia roaches and so I started buying live silkworms for over 2 years. These last 4 orders of silkworms I received from a very reputable company were dying on me before they even were full grown. Being so disappointed that now I had no live worms to give my beardie,I remembered I had a can of these silkworms in the cupboard for my bearded dragon to try in such a case. Usually my beardie didn’t care for dead bugs so I was sure I was going to have to drop one in his mouth when it was open. So I opened up the can outside being cautious of odor customers complained about but I found no odor, course I didn’t put my nose to the can either. So I had picked out a fat dead silkworm ready to give to my beardie. I put it to his mouth and it touched his mouth and fell off the tweezers. My beardie got so excited he went for the worm immediately and gobbled it up! I was so surprised because he showed no interest in can insect before or even getting his own insects for over a year. I gave him 3 more and he gobbled those up too. Since he is old he can only eat 3-4 every other day so it is disappointing that the worms will only last 7 days in the open can, though this may be cheaper and less hassle than buying the live silkworms. I do know he gets bored if he is given same food for long periods of time and these dead worms were a dark color not white so it may have appeared to be a new insect to him and when it fell he thought it was a live one. For now he loves these and so I am happy to have found something to give him when live insects are not available. I was not paid or given anything free to write this review. I also seldom write reviews but was so happy I had to write this one. My critters are so precious to me so I am thrilled when I do something that makes them happy!

Meh
Someone told me that these were “like crack” for bearded dragons so I ordered some since I hadn’t been able to find live silkworms. The first thing I noticed was that the smell was gross. Then, it looked like the silkworms were in the pupa stage and not worm stage. My beardie ate some, but he also left quite a few uneaten so I don’t think he was impressed either.

BEWARE–A VISITOR TO YOUR MOST GRISLY NIGHTMARES!
After a bit of research I discovered the horror I found in the “can of silkworms” was really a “CAN OF SILK WORMS” itseslf, Near 1″ long brown ribbed bodies, acrid unpleasant small, half again as wide with moist chiten ribs. This is what’s inside the fuzzy white silkworms’ “cocoon.” Easily created en masse. NOT recommended for my bearded dragon (probably too much chiten plus no one can get their lizards to eat them–even skunks walked away when they were discarded in the woods, as reported). I’m thinking, you REALLY MUST find out–before you order–just what the frick’s in that can. The can nearly held a heart attack for me, sitting outside opening my first-ever can of silkworms of this brand, which upon its can mentioned NOT ONE THING about what it harbored within. I aided to persuade my Nigel to eat 3 via 2 bites each, but the smell, the color, the consistency–plus the “juice” on his chin between bites–a surprise experience (compared to what the label showed) is one that should be saved ONLY for Halloween and ONLY for your strongest-stomached friends. Tell me, seller, in the ad or on the can, it’s what comes out of of the fuzzy white winter-over covering, TELL me it’s nighmare-proportion Silkworm PUPAE, pls heads up re: the smell. Put a picture in the ad and on the can’s paper label that it’s a “CAN O PUPAE,” blessed please don’t send me these, uh, this surprise. Not intended for bearded ingestion.NOTE to seller: I’d happily remove this warning-like review if you contact, but there’s no way I can contact you. So if you disagree with this review, LET ME KNOW.As for the lonely left-over canned pupae in the frig, I drawn to the idea my sophmore son can toss the remainder into his new dorm bully’s made bed, remake the bed, and let natuire take its course. While not fit for our lizards’ enjoyment, it’s exactly what a bully NEEDS!!SELLER–fix your ad, fix your can label, credit me for unforgiveable nightmare, and generally do better next time–I actually made my sweet orange Nigel eat three! Shame on my ignorance, I should’ve researched the “surprise” first. Wishing you well, Kay, one DISCHANTED frustrated BUYER ð

Even the picky dragons would eat it
It’s not a big can so it doesn’t last that long but all of my beardies adults and juveniles would eat them. Way easier than trying to keep silkworms. I will buy them for occasional treats

Canned silk worms
Item arrived on time. It is always hard to find this product in town, not sure why petco only supplies 1 or 2 cans on the shelf per week. Being that this is a hot seller My lizzards won’t eat the canned crickets, grasshoppers, or canned meal worms but they love the canned silk worms. I will continue to purchase here at amazon as long as they offer to sell them. My two lizzards finish a can in a Weekes time. That’s two feedings for two lizzards per week. Advise, add a little Powdered calcium ontop of the worms when you feel they have not had the correct calcium intake needed. Also add a little Powdered calcium to their water supply.

was expecting canned worms, not canned pupa. There should be rules.
