Great addition to a reptiles diet.
Until my snail feeders start giving me a steady supply, I decided to buy these because I hear they’re a skinks favorite. The only problem I have is with the packaging. The top that seals the can after opening arrived broken so I’d have to use a different method for storing it in the fridge. Luckily I plan to freeze these as my adult skink only eats about twice a week, so I don’t really need it anyways. The snails aren’t gooey or hard to pick out. They seem pretty firm and well together so getting them out of the can individually is easy.Pros:-Comes with quite a bit of snails, will last a single reptile a couple weeks if fed sparingly as a treat.-The smell isn’t terrible- comes with it’s own storing lid and spoon to scoop out the nasties- long shelf life, about 4-5 years if the can remains sealed and stored properlyCons:- a little expensive for what you get- packaging wasn’t too great**Serving size is 1 to 2 snails as part of their diet or as a treat. For smaller species cut them into smaller bites.

Great product!
Our false chameleon loves her snails! Sometimes in the can we get large snails and have to cut them up…yuck! My husband has to do that! Other times we get small snails that are just the right size for her. I always order the same product, just sometimes different sizes come in the can. They are always sealed tight and ready for our Lyla girl. I keep them refrigerated after opening and I have never had an issue with them smelling up my fridge, the lid seals tight. Highly recommend!

My pet liked it
Good for my cuban false chameleon. Now she’s older and prefers hunting live food

why are they so and tiny and smell rotten? Why is the packaging so weird? What the f happened?
I have ordered the mad canna snails so many times in the last six years for my blue tongue, skink, and without fail every time he always loves them and theyâre always the same but these ones arrived and the packaging was strange, seemed a lot cheaper, barely taped to the can. It did not come with the spoon, when I opened the can, the âsnails,â are the size of BB pellets, theyâre little teeny tiny pellet Chunks of whatever and they STINK. They smell putrid. My lizard wonât even look at them. Theyâre disgusting. Wtf happened??

More mush than snails
I was expecting a few decent sized snails, but really just got a whole bunch of mush with 2 or 3 âsnailsâ

Good for blue tongue skinks
I fed these to an adult blue tongue skink. They work great as a protein source and keep very well in the fridge. My skink loved them and would sometimes even prioritize eating these over blueberries, which are his favorites. They are kind of stinky, which doesn’t matter to me, but fair warning: do not sniff them to see if they are still good if you’ve had them in the fridge for awhile, you will sorely regret it.

Good treat for blue-tongue skinks
My blue tongue skink loves them. Amazon is requesting that I mention “thickness”, “value for money”, and “scent” so here goes…Thickness?: Well, the can is under 2 inches tall and less than 3 inches in diameter. The snails are half-inch and smaller little chunks that look like tiny brains.Value for money: It seems a bit pricey for “1.7 ounces” but it’s used mainly as a treat so it lasts a decent amount of time.Scent: Don’t stick your nose in the can and you’ll be fine. It’s dead snails chilling in “natural juices”. It smells exactly like that sounds. But the smell isn’t really strong, if you’re just scooping a couple out and delivering them to the your snail eater.

Peeling back the lid I was met with the small grave hoard of inert invertebrates. They didn’t smell bad. No, I didn’t take a big huff of snail air, but it didn’t flood the room with the smell of death like I expected. Thankfully it wasn’t soupy like I thought either. I carefully balanced one of the rubbery bodies on the shallow plastic “spoon” provided and offered it to my Blue tongue skink. The look of reptilian delight on her little potato head told me I had done a good. She munched the bouncy body and eagerly swallowed it down licking her lips and looking for more. 10/10 would recommend.

Our resident Blue Tongue Skink LOVES these!

My blue tongue skink loves these! He has been really fussy lately and not eating much, so I bought him some of these as a treat and he (of course) devoured them. They don’t smell, they aren’t “icky” like some of the canned insects can be, and they come with a wee spoon. An excellent treat for your lizard friend!
