    Perfect for my elderly parrot
I attached the light to the side of my birds cage during the cooler months. He hung out by it all the time. I left it on 24 seven it didn’t get too hot. It stayed at an even temperature. I think he got a lot of comfort from it.

Great heated nightlight for your reptile needs.
Recently we discovered a veiled chameleon in our lanai, our enclosed (except for a doggie door) back porch. The poor thing was not doing well so we took it in, did some quick, extensive research and scrambled to get the things the little guy needed. Later one we found out that an individual was breeding things and was facing impending trouble so they released all of their stock into the wild. This is perfect for those time when Gary needs to sleep but needs a little extra heat. It is used occasionally and has worked great.

    Only lasted a few days.
It worked great but it burned out in just a few days….I thought maybe it was due to the shipping so I bought another one from the pet store….but alas, it did the same thing….they just don’t last long enough for the money.

    Great heat lamps
Use these for sick bird care (finches). Be sure to place high in cage so bird must climb toward it and always be sure there is plenty of unheated space for the bird to retreat to if too warm. These work wonderfully and very happy with this brand. Casts a red light so you can tell at a glance if it’s working.

    Works
Works. Nocturnal so you can have it on 24/7. Also visually appealing at night when this is the only light on. With a ceramic fixture you put it on top of a terrarium it will heat it up no problem. I use this with an Exo-Terra desert medium heat mat in a 15g tank. The fixture I use has a dimmer switch on it. With the heat mat and this on very low dim I achieve a nice heat sandwich for my Ball Python. By itself it could probably overheat the tank on full blast. Be aware that the 100w version WITHOUT a dimmer switch either should not be used or probably should be used on a bigger enclosure, such as a 40g+ tank. An opinion. Also seems like heat lamps with light suck up humidity, not a fact I can prove but just something I notice. As for lifespan I haven’t had it long enough to say, plus most light bulbs have random life spans for me.TL;DRA little bit pricey for a bulb.. but you get what you pay for. Full power is hot, so be sure to couple this with a dimmer switch setup.

Helps animals who don’t go outside stay healthy.
I bought this lamp to help my cat get over an illness. This provided her with the near infrared spectrum to stimulate her body to heal. There is a lot of research about infrared light stimulating the immune system, and protecting against viruses. Natural sunlight would be best of course, however this works great and was reasonably priced. She’s fine now. 🙂

    Happy hens!
Using this in our insulated henhouse, so far works well. I don’t need a lot of heat as is insulated with 1″ of foam but this is near perfect.. Kept the temp at 45-50 degrees when it was 5 degrees outside. The regular brood light that is red was 250 watts…much more than I needed. Hens seem happy with this. They had just moulted and some hadn’t regrown all of their feathers yet.

I keep trying to find better bulbs than these ones. Although these don’t last as long as I would like for the price that they are, they are reliable for the priceJust make sure you have 1 to 2 spares always on hand. Sometimes I have had them last as short as 3 months and as long as 9.
