Tied To A Tree, But Not Forgotten
The amazing team at Stray Rescue of St. Louis is no stranger to heartbreaking situations. Every day, they go out and change the lives of dogs who have been through more than we can imagine. When they got the call about a dog tied to a tree, they didn’t waste a second.
They rushed to the scene, bracing themselves for another challenging rescue. But what they found was a pup who was overjoyed to see them!
“This pup was tied up outside. As we approached him, he seemed to say ‘oh thank goodness, yes come help me! I’m all by myself! I’m just a baby boy!’,” the rescue wrote on Facebook.
At just around a year and a half old, this young dog was still very much a puppy. Despite everything he had been through, his gentle eyes and excited tail showed just how ready he was to be loved.
A Beautiful Twist No One Saw Coming
Right after his rescue, things took an incredible turn for Professor Plum. In just a few hours, he found a foster home—and not just any foster home.
After his quick check-up and evaluation, he was placed into care… and reunited with someone from his past! His new foster mom turned out to be the same woman who had taken care of him and his sister when they were tiny puppies.
Her name is Barb Kumar, and this reunion was completely unexpected—but full of love. Although his sister wasn’t there this time, two new foster siblings were ready to welcome him into their home.
The moment they saw each other again, it was clear that the bond was still there. Cuddles, kisses, and tail wags filled the room—it was a reunion that could melt even the coldest heart.

Shortly after being released, he became overcome by rage and frustration and began violently wailing on his poor, trembling, frightened dog. It’s clear that this man’s violent tendencies didn’t decrease after serving his time.
The Journey To A Forever Home
Now safe and surrounded by love, Professor Plum is slowly adjusting to his new temporary home. He’s meeting new people, learning to trust again, and showing everyone just how sweet he is.
There’s no doubt that this lovable boy will soon find a forever family who will cherish him. With his playful spirit and heart of gold, it’s only a matter of time before someone falls head over heels for him.
